Summary of Art 2018 Sooooo, what did I do this year? I stopped drawing for a while, spent two or three months in a workshop crafting stuff, failed at making a movie, had tons of fun doing so, got into makeup, got a degree, continued studying, participated at Schmiede, got interested in 3D again, exhibited a weird art installation, and made my brain understand that I can be more than just one thing. :)

I think this one was pretty neat all in all :D

On to a wonderful 2019 everyone!   Do amazing shit, be a shadow dwelling cryptid, get your sleep schedule in order, grow into the weird flesh monster you always wanted to be, share some cake, engulf the sky, start a ladybug wrestling organisation… idk what you are up to but I know it is going to be a good time!

A-mace-ing Gladiator Battle! The game we made at JamIsland Gamejam.

I did art direction and the character with animations, @hardbi7 did the environment models, both based on the concept arts by Wolfi, and implemented by our programmer Hannes. Sound and music are by Jamie Nord.

While the game is still buggy, it’s amazing how well everything works together after that short time we had. Great fun to work with such a talented team!

Our projection mapping in action at Schmiede 2018!

The Making of “Project Head”, my main project realized at Schmiede 2018, together with @hardbi7, Amina Daschil and Fabian Schober.

The idea was to build a 3D sculpture with wood and cloth, suspend it, and track its movement with a HTC Vive tracker. With that data we tried to align the projection mapping with the real movement. We almost got it to work, but sadly the rotation proved more difficult than anticipated, so in the end we projected on the unmoving head.
