She had returned to Meltokio after the worlds were united, but so far nothing was going right. There were people in the city who remembered her from ten years ago, and with her having not aged since then... Well, she’d been attacked at least three times already, under the assumption that she was a half-elf. Lillith refused to fight back, even though she didn’t feel anything, didn’t mean she would go against her own beliefs.
A pacifist by nature, she had never condoned fighting, violence, or hurting others for any reason. And that included fighting back. So, she was pushed around instead, until they gave up and left her lying in the back alley. There would be bruises all over later, and she could taste the copper tang of blood in her mouth. At the very least, most of her humanity had been restored long enough for that.
Gripping her staff, she pulled herself to her feet and made her way towards the Inn. She doubted she could show up at the church looking like she did; her clothes soiled and torn, her lip bleeding. But she could barely stand, and after stumbling down a few steps, she ended up falling into someone.
All she could see for a moment was red, and when she pulled away, she blinked and looked at the face of someone familiar. Palmacosta... right? He had been traveling with Sylvarant’s Chosen.
“Y-you... you’re a friend of the Chosen, right?” She had to force the words out, she was still a bit shaken from the earlier attack.
