I have no explanation.....yes I do. I'm writing a fic about young Ned Stark.
Hello! I was wondering if your Snowpiercer rp discord is still available for people to join.
Hi! At the moment the server is really dead not going to lie. Hasn't had any activity for quite some time.
Viserys: Daemon! What on Earth was all that?
Daemon: I am not sure what you're referring to.
Viserys: You sunk an entire ship, Daemon!
Daemon: Are you sure that was me? I would think I would remember something like that.
Viserys: Daemon, I watched you set the captain on fire!
Daemon: That sounds dangerous.
Viserys: You were heabutting children off the side of the boat!
Daemon: That uh—that must have been horrifying to watch.
Viserys: And then you started making out with Rhaenyra!
Daemon: Thank God that the children weren't on board to see it.
Viserys: Uhh Daemon...why is the boat all red and sticky?
Daemon: Well I guess you could say it is red and sticky.
Viserys: Daemon...what are we standing in?
Daemon: Would you believe it's strawberry milkshake?
Viserys: No, I would not believe that!
Daemon: Uhh melted gumdrops?
Viserys: No
Daemon: Boat nectar?
Viserys: No!
Daemon: Some of god's tears?
Viserys: Tell me the truth, Daemon!
Daemon: Fine!...It's the lovely elderly couple from 2B.
Viserys: Daemonnn!
Daemon: Well, they were uh— they were taking all the cresent rolls.
Viserys: I can't believe what I'm hearing!
Daemon: I will not apologize for art.
Viserys: ...Where are the other life boats?
Daemon: Whoa you won the prize! I didn't even notice that.
Viserys: Where are other life boats, Daemon?
Daemon: Looking at the trajectory of the moon and the sun probably at the bottom of the ocean. I stabbed lots of holes in them.
Viserys: Daemonnnn!
Daemon: I have a problem. I have a serious problem.
Viserys: You are just terrible today!
Daemon: Shhh do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness.
Viserys: That's the sound of people drowning, Daemon!
Daemon: That is what forgiveness sounds like...screaming and then silence.
Will I be bold and say facts? Yes, yes I will.
Also, House of the Dragon fandom, please stop sending threats and bullying Olivia Cooke and Emily Carey. They're not Alicent. Both are absolute sweeties. None of the cast should be bullied. Hate on the characters all you want because, in truth, they're all terrible morally. However, the cast are not those individuals. 😔
I.....are we sending Matt Smith death threats now? I no longer want to be a part of the House of the Dragon fandom. Some of you are taking this way too far.
I've seen some shit in my days on Twitter but this tops the cake. For the record I want to state that no, Matt isn't a rapist. This person has proceeded to lable them such because Daemon Targaryen —who also isn't a rapist...so no logic there. However, to go an tell your friends to insult him at a con and attack his mother is beyond nuts. It is perfectly fine if you hate Daemon Targaryen, but don't go around spreading lies about the actor because of the character. Especially when said character isn't even a rapist.
episode 10 rant (spoilers obvi)
What they did to Daemon, Rhaenyra and Aemond was not character assassination. And let's be honest, some of y'all would've been mad regardless of what they decided to do. Sometimes I think we're not watching the same show and didn't read the same book, cause goddamn. Every single character in this story has their flaws and most of them are not good (there's a few that are the exception).
Daemon has been chaotic and unpredictable since the beginning. He's a murderer, has committed war crimes and he's a groomer. And hate to break it to you, but them cutting out that scene of him hugging the girls means nothing, cause him hugging his daughters is literally the bare minimum and it doesn't make him "a good dad". Daemon has never been the good guy, so why are you saying they are "making him into a villain"? Are you actually surprised of what he did during Rhaenyra's labor? He wanted war, immediately. Also, him choking her. His daughter died in childbirth, he thinks his brother was murdered plus also found out that Viserys didn't trust him with the prophecy. Choking her is obviously not acceptable but that's the most sane thing he could've done and you know it.
Rhaenyra isn't weak. She lost TWO CHILDREN in the span of two days, her father died and she wasn't there and her half-brother took the throne. Like wouldn't you be fucking tired? That sounds exhausting.
I feel that Lucerys' death being an accident is better for the show, honestly. Vhagar not listening to Aemond and Arrax not listening to Luke kinda makes sense. One is a battle hardened dragon thats almost 200 years old and the other is a juvenile dragon that's maybe 14 or less. Obviously Arrax felt threatened, Vhagar is an absolute beast.
"The idea that we can control dragons is an illusion." - Viserys Targaryen in HOTD episode 1 at 58:06
The season finale was good. If it didn't have what you wanted is something completely different. And it's not "bad as season 8", so those comparisons are bullshit.
The Process of Grieving
Grieving is such a personal process for each individual who encounters it. I really appreciate the way Rhaenyra took such care of baby Visenya, cradling her right after the tragic birth, and preparing her body for Targaryen burial. There is so much strength in her grief. It’s really beautiful and reminds me so much of the strength my mother had when my sister’s infant twin passed.
While the preparation of remains for burial is not something that is expected of people nor is it something the signifies the amount of love a person has, I do think it is very interesting how Rhaenyra’s grieving process is so different from Daemon’s.
I appreciate that the writers didn’t try and make it seem like one cares more or less than the other just because their process is different. We noticed that Daemon struggles to face the death of loved ones. He struggled with Laena and couldn’t comfort his daughters, the same way, he can’t comfort Rhaenyra. He feels very deeply and it appears that it’s just easier for him to look away or else he may never be able to find the strength to move forward.
Either way, the love Rhaenyra and Daemon had for their baby was obvious, at least to me. It’s a tragedy for them to lose Viserys and Visenya all at once, but their strength was truly amazing to watch.
Daemon and Aemond are equals. They are the two sides of the same coin. Neither is better than the other. The reason their battle was so epic was because of this factor, and no, Daemon doesn't fear Aemond. I believe Aemond had quite a bit of respect for his uncle, but at the end of the day war is war. They were enemies in this war. Aemond lost his life due to him chaining himself to his saddle. It was this that allowed Daemon to have the upper hand. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
Upgrade, my ass.
The lake rushed up with terrible speed. Then Daemon Targaryen, who had never fastened his riding chains, stood in his saddle. He leapt from his dragon to Aemond’s and in his hand was Dark Sister, the Valyrian sword of Aegon’s sister-queen, Visenya. As Aemond One-Eye looked up in terror, Daemon ripped off his nephew’s helm and drove the sword down into his one remaining eye so hard, the point came out the back of the young prince’s throat. — Oberyn Martell, Histories & Lore: The Dance of Dragons
I'm going to say it...Laena’s death in the show was far more emotional simply due to Vhagar. The hesitation, confusion and eventually understanding in her eyes. I love the aspect that the dragons aren't just these creatures,—they feel and mourn just as we do. Odds are she felt Laena’s pain and despite how it hurt her to obey the command she did it. Her bonded was suffering and odds are Laena would have died a slow and painful death. Laena Velaryon went out on her own terms and I love the contrast. Aemma didn't make the choice—it was made for her. Where as for Laena she made the choice. Also an interesting contrast between Viserys and Daemon. One was so willing to mutilate his wife simply for a dream and the other outright refused, his concern being Laena.
I also have a theory, or explanation rather, on why the horse seemed to afraid of Daemon. In the first episode Viserys and Aemma both comment on how Rhaenyra smelt of dragon—the scent obviously quite noticeable if they detected it. Animals have quite the nose and no doubt Daemon rode Caraxes to Runestone, thus the scent being present on him. Dragons and horses don't exactly have a good history in GOT. Looks over to the numerous horse bones in Winterfell that Drogon and Rhaegal brought to their spot. That horse saw the future.
Apparently Daemon killing his wife, Rhea, in episode five of House of the Dragon is OOC according to book fans. Yeah, hi book reader here — have you all forgotten it was rumored he killed her in the book? Yes, her death wasn't as quick but there was still the whispers. Let's also not forget Daemon sends forth assassins to murder a child. There's also the rumors in the book of him being behind Harwin Strong's AND Laenor's death. Tell me, is it really that difficult to see this man murder someone when it's clearly in his nature? Daemon Targaryen tortured people with his cruel ways, particularly criminals, in the books. While a grey character he still has blood on his hands. He's no innocent daisy. This is no anti Targaryen agenda or no bad writing. Daemon is a man that will strive for his desires no matter the cost.
"Over the centuries, House Targaryen has produced both great men and monsters. Prince Daemon was both. In his day there was not a man so admired, so beloved, and so reviled in all Westeros. He was made of light and darkness in equal parts. To some he was a hero, to others the blackest of villains." – writings of Gyldayn from Fire & Blood
xtheimpossiblesoufflex:
At first everything seemed fuzzy. Like some kind of weird dream, no, not a dream – nightmare. Clara saw a full life time rushed pass in her mind, like a movie she was in, but could only observe. It was like she was trapped into some kind of mental lock, unable to affect anything, unable to even speak. Dreams were her escape – each night, she was set free in the form of a dream, but despite her desperate attempts, she was not heard. Not until this one terrific night, that threatened to put an end to BOTH of her lives.
Her eyes suddenly opened, and she realized that this wasn’t a dream anyone. She, the REAL Clara was here, back to reality she so long seeks. Only reality was not as half as good as she expected. The young girl found herself locked into a small, dim lit root. The ground and the walls were covered in some kind of ichor that smelled like a sulfurs. She walked over the door, whose small windows were the source of the poor light. At first she saw nothing, but an empty corridor than disappeared as a monstrous blood shot eye covered the whole view, staring back at her. Her lips helplessly formed the Doctor’s name, but no sound came. She was not even sure WHICH Doctor she was hoping to call for. How much of this was a dream? Have she really left Twelve and was Eleven really returned on that Christmas night or have she dreamed it? Was this reality or still a dream? She had answers for nothing and all she desperately wanted was to get back to HER Doctor.
A small shock raced throughout his body, tingling his spine at the sensation that awakened within. The wave of memories crashed upon him –nearly drowning out his own thoughts at that precise moment. He had to hide –they had to hide. Wasn’t safe, for either of them and hiding within plain sight became the idea. His eyes looked around the dim alley looking at the blood written letters upon the worn brick wall. The chilling thought of Clara entered his mind. She had been with him and now she was nowhere in sight. The Doctor clenched his jaw, Clara –his Clara, where was she? If the blood was, in fact, hers then why not leave the body? The sheer thought made the Doctor shiver. He didn’t want to picture Clara’s body, not again. Just the thought of her dying once more saving him made both his hearts ache.
The obvious — yet agonizing question was as to what had taken her. He couldn't pinpoint the consumption of human hearts to any alien species off the top of his head. Why her? Had she simply just been at the wrong place at the wrong time? The Doctor searched around the alleyway hoping to spot some sort of clue as to where she may be — that is if she was even still alive. A familiarly pain struck both his hearts. The imagine of Clara lying nearly lifeless upon the icy blanket of snow. He had vowed for harm never to come forth her way ever again, and yet he felt like a failure. His knees began to wobble at the thought. Clara had to be fine. No, he wouldn't lose her like how he lost the Ponds. He continued to ravage the alley leaving nothing unturned. Time could be running out.
