Seeking Lizardspots explicit HP fanart

This is a longshot, but I have to try!

There is this one Draco fanart from 2009 that I have never forgotten. Luckily with enough hunting I found the title and artist: A Cruce Salus by LizardSpots!

Unfortunately the image links on her livejournal, insanejournal, dreamwidth are all dead. The artist herself stated on her livejournal that after moving on from fandom, she lost most of her art. Here is one link where A Cruce Salus used to be.

I’ve done some digging. I see there still exist some of her art on deviantART (but no NC-17 art) and FanLore (all Merlin). Her website is on the Wayback Machine but scarcely any images remain there.

Does anyone still have copies of Lizardspot’s explicit HP fanarts? Has there been any fandom-wide attempt to recover them? They were so fantastic, I find it hard to believe nobody has them saved on an old hard drive somewhere!

update: found a few more posted on snowingalway tumblr here! Includes some explicit Drarry ones. Still no A Cruce Salus though.

Do you ever wonder what the point of Jimmy's story was supposed to be, canonically? I often do. It was like he was there and then he was gone and none of it really mattered.

Jokes aside, I think a lot of viewers felt this way about Jimmy’s storyline, and I find that a really reasonable perspective. In fact, I would extend it to like - most of the downstairs characters more generally! We are pretty closed off from their interiority, and it’s hard to say exactly what their plot lines or character drives were. Maybe Carson is an exception? Idk, part of me would love to attribute that to exceptional writing - that the writers intended for us to feel towards the downstairs characters the same way that the upstairs characters feel towards them - they’re transitory, expendable, a part of the background or landscape…but honestly I think that’s a generous take, and I also think that kind of writing requires a level of tenderness (even tenderness that allows for brutality) that is absent from the show.

I also think that exploring Jimmy as bisexual would have been an exceptionally beautiful and real and courageous storyline and it just straight up bums me out that they didn’t go there.

But I suppose that’s why we have fic and fandom to tell his story, and the story of Thomas and Jimmy, and that’s a real beautiful thing.
