So I think I am going to restart this Tumblr using a different email but the same URL.  Semper Idem explained to me that I could do that so prepare for a change.  This current URL is attached to a culinary Tumblr I had a few years ago as the "main" Tumblr which limits my ability to comment/etc.

I'm so glad someone wrote about Hildegard Hendrickson.  She was a 79 year old woman, avid mushroom hunter, who disappeared mushroom hunting off Highway 2 exactly a year ago.  When I was hiking last winter/fall near the Tumwater River, I saw a sign posted about her disappearance and it really stuck with me.  She looked like my own Grandma.

This long article is really well written and brings up lots of issues regarding her disappearance.

I felt so angry at the UCSB massacre (an article about this incident and a script of his video’s speech) and the sexism we’re blind to everyday so I drew about my opinions on sexism to channel my rage.
