First known wild ‘grue jay’ hybrid spotted in Texas
Green and blue jays are crossing paths as temperatures rise.
If you happen to find yourself in south Texas and spot a strikingly colored bird, be sure to snap a photo.
According to biologists at the University of Texas at Austin, it may be a mix between a green jay (Cyanocorax yncas) and a blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata).
Unofficially dubbed a “grue jay,” the bird likely marks one of the first confirmed examples of a vertebrate animal that hybridized partially due to climate change.

well, tumblr, I hope you're all happy. my phone battery finally hit 120%, at which point it exploded and blew the legs and genitals off of my dog who was listening to animal calming music at the time. even if I didn't like him very much, I think that it was awful of you to laugh while he was in that kind of danger, and you should have warned me so that I could have averted this tragedy. how was I supposed to know.
grew back like twice so I stopped trying
imagining a world where you have to both spay and neuter an animal
there was a complex situation that was made simple in a terrifying blast of dog components and now it seems like everyone's using their imagination in my notes
