hi, it's me and my silly deidara doodles again ✨

I love when fics/hcs imply Sasori as Akatsuki’s cranky doctor due to his intricate knowledge of toxins, anatomy, etc.
+ tuberculosis Itachi (he’s at the hospital for a checkup) who is somewhat fond of Sasori for his dedication to his craft, both healing AND hurting 😂
if you think about it, Deidara was just rock Naruto without an Iruka to stop him from going off the rails 🤔💥
anyway 5 Kage Summits sure are… fun !
youngsters!!!
artist duo
i think of them a lot
im still very early shippuden but he's gonna be the new character i project anger onto actually
it’s probably an animation error, but sometimes edo tensei sasori is drawn taller than deidara and my headcanon to explain this is that sasori gets revived in his 35yo human body
…and deidara is woefully unprepared to see his partner as a tired (but still beautiful) mid-30s man 😘
Modern AU Things: Food
Deidara
• Deidara LOVES spicy food and paprika. Much to Sasori’s horror, he always tries to add “a little extra flavor” to almost every meal.
• He has an absurd spice tolerance. One time, he accepted a challenge from his followers to eat an instant ramen infamous for being painfully spicy. According to the blond: “It's kinda spicy... but good, hm.”
• Deidara rarely wakes up early enough for breakfast, but when he does, it’s usually bread, cheese, and ketchup (yes, ketchup) alongside lukewarm coffee or an energy drink.
• He has a terrifying ability to mix random foods together and somehow enjoy it. (Pizza with sweet chili sauce, instant noodles with grated cheese, etc.)
• Given the chance, he’ll always pick fast food for dinner. Especially greasy fast food.
• He often brings food into his studio. Once, he accidentally mistook a piece of clay for cake.
Sasori
• Sasori tries to keep a more balanced diet and, much like his aesthetic tastes, believes food should be visually pleasing and harmoniously flavored. (Deep fried food is absolutely out of the question.)
• Secretly, Sasori is a complete coffee addict. He drinks at least four cups a day. (Much to Deidara’s concern for the redhead’s heart.)
• He insists on using the herbs and spices he grows himself.
• He prefers pita bread over regular bread.
• Secretly, he enjoys cooking for someone else (especially Deidara), and enjoys it even more when his food gets praised.
Both
• Sasori tries to cook proper meals, but whenever Deidara decides to “help,” even the ceiling somehow ends up looking artistic.
• Sasori prefers taking Deidara out for sushi, while Deidara would rather go to a pizza place or some greasy fast food restaurant.
• Deidara cuts ingredients unevenly and crookedly. Sasori has learned to ignore it.
• Whenever they order pizza, Sasori always wants Margherita, but Deidara somehow manages to force a “half pepperoni with extra cheese” into the order.

a braiding. sasori must be used to taking care each of his puppet's hair, isn't he?
Sasori, coming into Deidara’s room: Alright, brat; let’s do this.
Deidara, half-asleep and groggy: Huuuhhh?
Sasori, climbing into Deidara’s bed: It’s after midnight, so it’s officially your birthday. You always request to engage in relations on your birthday, and I’m in the middle of working some puppets and don’t wish to be interrupted later, so —
Deidara: *turns over on his side* Don’t feel like it, Danna. Go away. I promise I won’t bother you later, hm.
Sasori: … Is there something wrong?
Deidara: Not feeling the best tonight. Just want to sleep.
*there are a few silent moments, and then Deidara turns around to see Sasori has left*
Deidara, to himself: Guess I couldn’t expect much else from him …
*a little later, waking up in the early morning*
Deidara: Ugh … my throat hurts so bad …
Sasori, from the other side of the bed: That tea on your nightstand should do the trick.
Deidara, his eyes widening in disbelief: Danna? What are you doing here?
Sasori: You’re not feeling well; where else would I be?
Deidara: Working on your puppets?
Sasori: *sighs and scoots closer to Deidara* You’re ridiculous sometimes, you know that? *lays a hand on Dei’s forehead* Well you don’t feel as warm as you did an hour ago; still, drink up that tea.
Deidara: … An hour ago? How long have you been here?
Sasori: All night. Drink, please.
*Deidara starts sipping at his tea*
Deidara: *chuckles* Some birthday, huh? Sick in bed …
Sasori: You know, though, I’m fairly certain that this is a tad better than your last birthday. Remember the boat I took you on? I still don’t know how you managed to drink so much that you fell out. If it wasn’t for the man with the really big fishing net, I never would have gotten you out of the water! Deidara: Oh, come on; like I wasn’t the best thing he’d caught all day?
*they both laugh*
Sasori, taking Deidara’s hand: I could very much fall in love when you laugh, you know that?
Deidara, blushing: S-stop it, old man.
Sasori: Speaking of old, how old are you again? Twenty-one, now, right?
Deidara: That’s right, hm. Why; don’t think I’m hot anymore now that I’m over the hill?
Sasori: “Hot” is such a vulgar term. If you mean, do I still find you attractive? *kisses Deidara’s hand* Always. And besides, no matter how old you get, you’ll always be a brat to me.
Deidara: Ha, ha. *lays back down* Your sweet talk is great, but unfortunately I feel a little too yucky still for you to take advantage of me, so —
Sasori: Then you rest, my dear one. *kisses Deidara’s forehead and smoothes his hair back* I’ll be right here, watching over you. By the way, did you notice the present I got you?
Deidara: No?
Sasori: *points across the room* A very strong lock for your door.
Deidara: A lock? Why would I need a —
*from outside the door*
Hidan: Oi, blondie, let us in! *rattles the doorknob* Me and the mask-freak made ya breakfast! Used my scythe to scrape off all the burnt shit so you can eat it!
Tobi, in Obito voice: And “Tobi” wants to bend you over his knee and give you your birthday spankings, Senpai ~
Deidara:
Deidara, to Sasori: Best present ever, hm.

Sasori x Deidara
(Jan 2022)
Sasori was enjoying the rare quiet of the house that afternoon. Suna was curled up in his lap, warming his legs, while the redhead kept himself warm with a cup of coffee.
But in that house, peace never lasted long.
—Sasorii!! I did it! I saved enough, hm!—Deidara burst in, holding a glass jar filled with bills and coins.
—And what do you intend to buy?—Sasori took another sip of his coffee.
—I’m not buying anything, hm… I’m getting three tattoos!
Sasori didn’t reply right away. He simply turned his gaze to the blond, waiting to hear what kind of tattoos he had in mind.
—A mouth on my left nipple… and one on each palm!
—Deidara…
—Hey! I don’t wanna hear any of your lec—
—I’m not going to forbid you from anything. It’s your body. But I hope you understand… First: palm tattoos don’t last very long and require a lot of care. Second: nipple tattoos hurt. A lot.
—You’ve never gotten one! How would you know?!
—It’s a sensitive area… and I know you. You don’t handle pain very well.
—I do too! Hm!
—Do you really want me to remind you?
Suna, completely uninterested in the conversation, merely stretched. That matter concerned her servants alone—the queen had nothing to do with it.
