regina didn’t hide her interest in the jedi order. she was blatantly intrigued, curious about the force : it’s nature, it’s temperament. the intricacies of such power were vast, and regina had held a fascination since her youth. for few were privy to the knowledge that she was sensitive - her control was limited and she hid it well, but obi wan was a master : no doubt he could feel her grasp slip. pitched eyes flit to meet that of the jedi who kept her company of late / her hand shook, fingers curled so tight, her nails broke the skin of her palm. it was the growing rage within that ruined her composure, an anger left to fester and breed unnoticed, unattended, as the queen fell with little grace to her knees, doubled over. she raises her eyes to his, hers dark and dry as she chokes out a plea. “ make it stop, “
his shields , strong as durasteel after long years of practice , are raised as always , but even through them he feels the way she falters , and he tenses as he meets her gaze. instinct screams at him not to lower his shields ; he can sense the anger , the darkness roiling within her , and that instinct cries not to let it in -- but he is a jedi first and foremost , their purpose in the galaxy to help other beings , and so he does not entertain that thought for even a moment.
obi - wan sinks to his knees before her and puts out his hand as he lets down his shields an inch at a time , reaching out in the force for regina in that same moment. his own signature is warm , clear , light , or so he has been told , and he hopes that his light will be enough to shelter her from her own darkness. “ let me in , regina. ”
