making
rose tea
best? whittard english rose loose tea caddy avg price? £15 final rating? completely worth it but requires loose leaf materials.
great but cheaper? balance super blends by twinings avg price? £2.50 -3.49 final rating? great bang for your buck and a go to.
mulled tea (making yourself)
ingredients
water, 1-2 cinnamon sticks, 1 teaspoon of dried orange peel, 7-8 cloves, 20-30 grams sugar, 10-15 grams black tea. (sugar and black tea at own discretion)
total? a big pitchers worth (1L)
cranberry and raspberry
best? whittard cranberry and raspberry flavour instant tea avg price? £12 final rating? paired with a great book it’s impeccable.
great but cheaper? cranberry and raspberry by twinings avg price? £2.50 -3.49 final rating? similar if not same quality as whittard.
hot chocolate
best? whittard luxury white hot chocolate avg price? £12 final rating? as a white chocolate hater, it genuinely tastes luxurious, smooth and incredibly creamy.
tips
when it comes to teas like lemon+ginger, lemon +lime, it’s better to make it yourself with natural ingredients rather than teabags (probably more expensive though).
my favourite two brands are clearly twinings and whittard, i would say check their websites as they’re coming with new blends a lot and they always hit the spot.
buying
blank st
best iced? iced apple butter matcha avg price? £4.40-4.90 final rating? it’s great but definitely doesn’t hit as hard as their other seasonal drinks (cookies and cream i’ll never forget you).
best hot? white chocolate matcha avg price?4.40-4.90 final rating? it’s another great white chocolate that doesn’t taste sickly, however i’ve not tried the ginger snap latte so i’d consider that too.
black sheep coffee
best iced? strawberries and cream matcha, arguably their best drink but not autumn themed (which you're here for) avg price? £4.39 final rating? a genuinely refreshing drink with an amazing balance of sweetness.
best hot? pumpkin spice matcha latte, this is autumn themed (which you're here for) avg price? £4.99 final rating? autumn in a cup.
(they also serve an apple crumble matcha latte but I haven't tried it yet)
costa
best hot? pumpkin spice latte avg price?4.25-5.00 final rating? it’s the classic iconic autumn drink…
another great hot? chai latte avg price?4.25-5.00 final rating? heart warming with the perfect amount punch/spice, it reminds me of a library.
tips
i’m very clearly a matcha freak but for black sheep and blank street, i trust them the most when it comes to new and wild flavours and think they’re best for people who don’t even like matcha (yet).
i also tend to buy iced drink in the winter, that’s a bad habit of mine but alas, bad habits die hard.
