uwu modern au, tiny plague maker?  hugo de rune & amicia in an apocalyptic modern france setting?  hugo being the origin obvi of the plague uwu with rats n stuff, and amicia protecting him from people that want to take him away??? kinda like a last of us thing idk idk, but just…. amicia and hugo running through an empty city with sky scrapers looming above them, fires billowing from their windows, dead bodies in the streets, cars that have driven into stop lights!!!! uwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwu  amicia lifting hugo over road blocks!!!! amicia holding hugo’s hand as she guides him through an abandoned mall.   them avoiding rats with flash lights!  but batteries are scarce so most of the time they rely on fire when they can!!!   them looking down an escalator into the dark first floor of the mall to see RED EYES of thousands of rats staring back up @ them!!! and them runNING !!! HECK YE.

it trembles, his voice, his hands, his head as the macula rings out akin only to the banshee—  and so too does the ground beneath small boots.       rats traversing dark & once holy soil, tearing asunder all that it caught in the dark of night as they exploded,  in plumes of dust  &  dirt,  to ravage and spread the same plague which was born from the boy’s flesh and blood.        the de rune curse,    ever alive in the little red eyed beasts that saw nothing but an endless hunger, and a seedless rage.
