One sided love is the most painful thing to feel. You go out of your way to make sure someone knows you love them. You are dying to talk to them and they take hours to respond because you aren’t the most important thing to them, but you stick around because you believe that they can change. You love someone so much that the thought of letting them go makes you cry. You realize it’s a pointless relationship. You try and try and try to make them realize how special they are to you, but they don’t get it. You spend your night crying because of your anxiety. They would never acknowledge you or how much you would do for them if it meant keeping them happy. “I’m busy.” “I was out with friends.“ You always think it’s your fault. You want them to love you. The worst part is that they will just use you. They will never understand how much you’re willing to give to them. You would throw yourself at a speeding bullet for them. You would climb the highest mountain if it meant saving them, but what would they do for you? You stand there and watch them having to have a helpless conversation with you that they obviously don’t want to have but they put up with it because deep down, they just feel sorry. You’re the charity and he is the donation. Sometimes it’s better to stay alone so that you can stay safe. Sometimes it’s better to not speak. They don’t know you’re hurting and you won’t bother them. A win win. But with one sided love, it’s not easy to give up. You have faith. You want to believe in a better tomorrow. They are the reason you pull through. Having them means the world to you. And they are your world. But do you really mean the world to them?
