Code School (new-user friendly. offers html, python, git, and more)
Code Academy (new-user friendly. offers java, ruby, git, python, etc.)
Code Camp (semi new-user friendly. geared more towards experienced coders and those who seek work in the field)
Coding Bat (new-mid level coders. offers exercises for java and python)
TryRuby (news-user friendly. offers basic knowledge on ruby)
RailsForZombies (geared towards those that have basic knowledge about ruby. simple interactive way to learn more about the uses of ruby)
CodinGame (fun, interactive way to practice coding in the form of a (sort of) mini-game style. geared towards coders of mid-level)
CheckIO (adventure-esque style of coding practice. difficulty level varies but does require basic knowledge)
Code Wars (geared towards mid-level to high-level coders. offers multiple exercises for multiple languages)
Stack Overflow (not a site to learn code but does have a coding community. the site has coders of all levels and is open to questions for most programs and programming-related issues)
Code Pen (added 6/19. great site for html coders. offers platform for html and css design as well as javascript)
ANOTHER THING THAT I CANNOT STRESS ARE SOLO PROJECTS
github (most common site referred to in terms of solo projects. most sites refer to an individuals’ github account)
