“thank g o d it’s finally september. it is just me or did august last a lifetime?” the blonde raised an eyebrow at the person standing beside her in line at the cafe on campus. “i’m sick and tired of this god damn heat, aren’t you?”

“Does anybody want to try out for the dance team slash club? If you don’t make it onto the team, you can still learn and maybe make it next year!”

“those are some mighty fine dance moves you got there, i don’t think you could like me on the team though, i have two left feet, I wouldn’t make the best addition.”

Sigh. Cookie stared up at the top shelf that she knew the book currently in her hand ready to shelve had to be placed. Being not the tallest of people ever, it was rather difficult to do her job at the library sometimes, especially when it meant reaching higher places. But, the job still had to be done and she wasn’t one to complain. The library ladder was too far away for her taste so instead, she turned around and went for the chair at the closest table to her. “Excuse me, may I use this chair please?” Of course, she had to be polite and ask the person sitting at the table first.

her reading was interrupted by a meek voice asking if she could use the chair of the table she was sitting at. delia offered the dark haired girl a smile and a curt nod, “well, i don’t see why not, i have to take pity on those shorter than me, i was blessed with longer legs.” delia gestured at the chair closets to her.

“How is it not obvious that I want you to go away?”

“somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” she said in her thick southern accent. “gotta make it a bit more obvious apparently.”

“I hear this school has awesome clubs to join. Like a dance team and a soccer team, chess, not that I can play chess but HEY!” the girl smiled. “What do you not like my dancing? You don’t think I’d make it?”

“those are some very...interesting dance moves. much better than anything I could do,” the blonde grinned. “are you new around here? i’m sure i would have seen those dance moves by now.”

cordelia mae huntsmen was born to carolina huntsmen; a single mother who lives with her parents in beaufort, south carolina

 delia never met her father, and honestly she could care less about that. with her mother and grandparents by her side she had a pretty damn good life

they lived on the coast of the main port in beaufort in a extravagant home that has been in the family for generations. witches have also been in the family for many generations, but delia is the first since her great grandmother. she has a particular preference for old conjuring with books and nature ( crystals, bones, etc )

growing up in the south was never easy. delia felt out of place most of the time. her mother was rather conservative and didn’t let cordelia have a childhood much like other children her age. she was sheltered for her own protection

despite an overbearing mother, cordelia was conjuring and learning about the history of the huntsmen family from a young age. her mother always encourage delia to hold her head high and make their family proud

now twenty two years old, cordelia is attempting hexlore for her first year and is working harder at conjuring and studying psychology on the side. she is hoping to grow her knowledge on things in the real world and the world of conjuring as well

cordelia identifies as bisexual but she leans more towards the ladies ( especially the ones who look like they could ruin her life )

despite her “higher than thou” attitude and a reputation to uphold, delia has a good head on her shoulders. she is very down to earth, but can be reserved at times ( it takes a bit for her to warm up to people before she can be herself ) cordelia would do anything for the people she loved, and she doesn’t take shit from anyone ( that’s her southern roots ) so don’t rub her the wrong way because despite delia’s meekness, she has that southern spunk

the way to delila’s heart is little thoughtful trinkets and plants of any kind !! she has a fondness of plants and has a connection to the nature around her
