“I’m sorry babe,” came Sabine’s quick apology as she closed the door behind her, though a smile begun creeping up her lips. Another late night, another party that crawled into the wee hours of the morning with her dragged along by her friends. Her only thought was to return home as soon as possible when the fact that Laurel was living with her was a mere miracle. “I wanted to stop at one, but Brie took me to another, and another, and well. The rest is history.” Coming up to face her, Sabine slid an arm around her girlfriend’s waist with a pout forming. “Forgive me?”
“Ah the good old ‘one thing led to another’ excuse.” All attempts at being stern were left far behind as her girlfriend came closer, a smile tugging on her lips when she couldn’t even stay fake mad at her. Wrapping her own arms around Sabine’s waist, Laurel pressed a quick kiss against her lips. “You know the answer to that is always.” Once upon a time she hadn’t thought it possible for things to be this easy, her parents had had a tense marriage and while they’d stuck it out it had left an impression on her. Things with the woman in front of her were nothing like that though and she was endlessly thankful for it. “Did you have a good time?” With another quick kiss she’s untangling herself to walk towards the kitchen. “Hot chocolate?”
