He’s well built, has dark skin, and she’s seen him shirtless. He’s pretty attractive in her book-- it also is different to her since she spent most of her time around ‘pretty’ men instead of handsome.

She wouldn’t say best friend, but he has shown kindness to her while also being blunt and just telling her how it is. He listened to her when she had problems and helped her in more ways than one, so she would definitely like to build a lasting friendship with him.

Taighan flinched at the loud tone and glared at Delphinium. He was bloody, he was tired, and he hurt all over. Her caterwauling was definitely not helping his already pounding head.

“Woman,” he growled, his voice soft. “If you do not stop yelling at me, I will throw you out the damn window.” He pushed off the door and entered his apartment, one hand supporting his throbbing right arm. “And what the hell are you doing in here? Again I might add?”

I didn’t hate anyone over it, and I can’t blame him for bein’ with others.” She stirred in a bit of milk to her coffee before having a sip. “Once the feelin’ is gone I’ll go back to the crew. Until then I just need space from it.” Delphi held the cup between her hands, feeling the warmth of it move to her skin as she stared at it. She shook her head before smiling at Taighan. “Like you said, some things just ain’t meant to be held. My mind knows that, just gotta get my heart to agree.” @taighan-blackfeather

Taighan frowned, ears flicking. He looked for a moment as if he wanted to say something, but just shook his head gently. It was not really his place to give advice. It was not as if he knew a damn thing about relationships. He sighed and picked up the sandwich to take a few bites. It did not sit well, but that was no one’s fault but his own. Pain tended to make him lose his appetite. 

“I suppose we can talk to Mac in the morning,” he said quietly instead. “And see what we can do with you.”

I ain’t gonna get mad, gonna try workin’ on my temper more anyways.” Delphi had noticed his look before he shook his head, her eyes glancing back at the cup in her hands. “Thank you, for sayin’ you’ll talk to Mac and help me get a job and place to stay. I’ll get a room at an inn tonight so I ain’t in your hair.” She took another sip before standing in digging her hands in her pockets, ears wilting slightly when she silently counted how much coin she actually had left. Okay, so by inn she meant bench. But she wasn’t going to bother him with more things, already embarrassed over the fact she thought he had actually invited her to stay here for a few days. “Need anythin’ else before I head out?” @taighan-blackfeather

Taighan grunted softly. “I lack the experience to truly offer any insight,” he said quietly, shrugging. “I can only offer my thoughts but I do not trust them to be helpful to the situation. It is better not to add to a mess, I think.” He pushed up to stand, wincing as it moved his arm a bit. “You are already here and most of the inns are full by now. Stay on the couch, Delphi. It is fine.” He rose and headed toward the hallway and his bed. “Just lock the damn door if you are talking a bath. I have had enough shocks for the evening, hmm?”
