I’ve written everything I’ve wanted to do in the story so there’s legit nothing else, but I created a fully fledged, complete AU inspired by the infection AU craze

I’m very much attached to my baby and since I can’t write anything else until after the move, I’m gonna be thinking about it. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to finish it before the end of the month yet here I am with a week to spare

Maybe I’ll spend it collecting inspiration for the next one, the one I’ve been thinking about since the early chapter 30’s

Nearly done with chapter 40 but here’s the thing: We are gradually approaching 8K words. Might have to push back the limit and hope it’s not more than 10K by the time I’ve written everything out

Chapter 40 is long enough to publish but it won’t be the final chapter like I wanted, which means I’ll need to write a chapter 41

Or we could have a long af chapter that’s like 7-8K words, but I won’t need to write another chapter before I basically go off the grid for a week or so

Maybe I’ll write it all out in chapter 40 and pray it’s under 10K. I should make it tradition to make the finale extra long

Unlike my usual depictions of Branch with wings, he doesn’t pin them but no-one has ever seen him fly. Some believe he can’t but that doesn’t make sense, what adult troll doesn’t know how to fly? 🤔🤨

Never have I ever given myself such a deadline

In less than a month, I’m gonna be packing up and traveling for about a week, possibly longer, and I’m gonna give you a little spoiler, chapter 39 ends on a cliffhanger

I can get chapter 39 out before then, I have it so planned out that I’ve drawn the cover already, but I don’t know if I can write chapter 40 before the move, which I’m planning to make the last one

Will I be able to write about 10K words, maybe more, in just two or so weeks?? Can I close Night Stalker Syndrome so I can spend the move plotting out the next fanfic within that timeframe??

On top of that, I still need to draw the chapter 40 cover and I’m torn between two ideas/scenes to use

My favorite part about chapter 39 rn is that it’s a fun BroZone beach day (mostly) with a bonus of Barb popping in and out of existence on occasion

Alright, I finished the project and decided to share it

Trolls as different animals!

The boys are all hybrids/half brothers, only sharing jaguar DNA, but Poppy and Viva are just different stages of a domestic dog

The more time they spend in the sun, the more vibrant they can be

Other DNA in the boys:

Branch: King cheetah

Floyd: Striped hyena (the only half canine. I imagine the Rock trolls/genre as hyenas)

Clay: Serval (that’s a tall boi right there)

Bruce: Tiger

JD: Black panther

—Other stuff—

Branch is prone to anxiety just like real life cheetahs, Poppy is his emotional support. When he has panic attacks, his rosettes look like eyes, which freaks him out even more

Floyd was really insecure about being the only half-canine in the family and used to cut his mane a lot to match his brothers’ naturally short manes. JD used to make comments about his mane, which always fed into his insecurity. When he got older, he decided to embrace his hyena side instead of suppressing it

Clay is tall. He is very tall. He had to grow into his ears

Bruce loves swimming. Both tigers and jaguars love water

JD is the only full jaguar but due to the overabundance of melanin in his panther half, he has patches and heterochromia

Despite being only half brothers, they love each other like full brothers

Poppy and Viva are not hybrids and are full sisters, but Poppy living in the forest all her life effected how her patterns developed, giving her a more wolf-like appearance
