"It's been with us for a long time, probably for at least 5,000 years when we started keeping water next to our homes and it's adapted to people, It loves us. It loves our cities. It loves our blood. It functions very well with us," says Marten Edwards, an entomologist at Muhlenberg."
The first artwork seemly depicts a teenager walking through an impoverished neighborhood infested with inimical mosquitos , littered with garbage, detrituses and wastes,. Amidst in such danger, the teenager is oblivious and continues his journey onward disregarding the imperilments.
The artist deliberately selected the red pigment on the mosquitoes to signify tha hazard a mere bug poses. Speaking of the mosquitoes, the character positioning also intigues me, the artist created this artwork from a downward postion looking up, being behind the mosquitoes, the artist coherently disposed all the characters in a single framed painting (graphics painting). The reletive size of the mosquitoes seen from what is given in the painting is significantly oversized, giving them a sense of power, despite their, comparably miniscule size, it outlines a bugs capacity to inflict harm.
The second artwork is rather bland, that classic old good vs evil confrontation you see in movie posters. In short, this artwork exemplified and embellished researchers effort in tackinling Zika.
