immediately, they drop everything they’re doing ( metaphorically, of course; dropping a jar full of slime is just a mess waiting to happen ) in order to give terra their full attention, eyes wide and sparkling at the thought of their precious slime children getting extra treats .

“ more for the slimes ? well, why didn’t you say so in the first place ! let’s go find us some hilichurls to trade with ! ” and there they go, rushing off in search of slime goodies supplies for the crew .

“Albedo!!” She shimmied out of her chair, taking the drawing with her to run to him, practically clinging to his legs, “You’re back!! I was starting to miss you, solitary was no fun without you keeping me company….” Her expression changed to a pout with furrowed brows before hopping back and holding up the drawing.

“See?? It’s you and Miss Sucrose! I worked REEEAAALLY hard on this!!”

he holds back the urge to reach out and steady the little knight rushing towards him, instead choosing to only reach out once the tiny force of nature is clinging to his legs . immediately, he’s filled with a sort of peace that only the young pyro user can grant him, worries and thoughts about his research pushed aside in order to devote his full attention to klee in an attempt to make up for lost time .

“ ah, my apologies, klee . i meant to be back sooner, but..., ” he trails off, thoughts about a pulsing heart underneath a frozen mountain coming back at full force before he’s abruptly brought back to the present by a child’s drawing being thrust into his line of sight, the pure innocence forcing a smile to creep back onto his face .

“ i can see that . your drawing skills have improved immensely since i was last here . how about we head back to my lab and hang this up so that way miss sucrose and i can see it everyday while we work, hm ? ”
