Kiera: ( @ryzhayadch )
☭ confidence oozed from the kasnian alien. strong, independent and much more clear minded than she had been when she first arrived on this planet. kiera wasn’t thankful to lex luthor for many things other than the teaching of those traits regardless of his twisted thinking behind his lessons there was no way that kiera would be who she was if it hadn’t been for lex luthor and his betrayal. her confidence was her tell, how people told her apart from her ‘sister’ while Kara was confident when she suited up as supergirl Kiera needed no suit. She needed no ‘act’ to shield her identity from the world she was no hero despite looking and having the physiology of one.
kiera wasn’t a commitment type of girl unlike her sister. her little black book had a couple of ‘go to’ numbers when an urge arose and she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add yet another add to the list when Saskia slid into her IM’s on the assumption she was her double possibly looking to cheat on her wife. a thought that caused kiera a real belly laugh as Saskia ridiculed her over the dating app. Kiera had impersonated Kara on a number of occasions and despite it being quite easy she often found it quite boring at how vanilla her ‘sister’ truly was. A series of flirty back and forth had led to this ‘date’ for a simpler term but they both knew what they were doing here.
just as expected Saskia had been as playful with her words in person as she had been over IM’s. interesting. pressing her lips together the blonde nodded her head in response of the other a chuckle escaping her hearing the ultimatum. “ worth your while? ” she repeated with a nod leaning into the conversation blue hues survey the other before coming to lock on cool emeralds “ we’ll see.. ” her words are paired with a cool and collected smirk she wasn’t someone to get nervous at the sight of a pretty woman quite the opposite. The lawyer had sparked an interest in the alien regardless if her words were true they wouldn’t catch Kiera off guard Kiera revelled with the idea of having a little competition. “ isn’t that just something to look forward too. lets hope it’s worth clearing your schedule for ” coming to sit back in her chair she blew carefully on the hot coffee before taking a long sip blue hues gazing in her coffee. “ exactly. if you are late to the initial meeting then isn’t it just a clear sign on their time management in general? ” true words but that was probably something she picked up from living at the kasnian military base with a strict training regime. “ i would.. ” a simple answer spoken in a nonchalant yet matter of fact tone followed by a playful smirk and a bounce of her brows. “ so tell me Saskia, other than getting to know your sister, why did you move to National City? ”
💋💋💋 To say that the confidence in the blonde didn’t intrigue Saskia would be an understatement for sure. In fact her confidence was something that drew her to the other even more so seeing it in person. Despite sharing the same look Kiera and Kara where polar opposites when it came to personality, it really made her wonder what type of person her own sister was considering of the two she fell for the softer one. Was it the hero trope thing? The fact she can go from this softer personality to this strong confident woman? The more Saskia thought about the more she suddenly started to understand.
Saskia was indeed the type of person who wanted a just one and done or no strings attached type of relationship. Her need for a constant change is what kept her from being tied down to anyone. From what they discussed in their IMs it seemed something they both fairly agreed on quite easily. At the tales of how Kiera had on occasion pretended to be her twin, the fact Saskia had thought of Keira as Kara was all the irony. Now here they where in this playful banter, Kara really did bring people together wither it was intentional or not.
Their conversation went no where in the moment except for the playful banter which the lawyer didn’t at all mind. It kept her interested to be truthful. Interested in what was to come after the flirting was finish. If it ever finished. ❝ Yes.. ❞ she said rather softly with the crook of her lip curling upward into a soft smirk. Nothing more needed to be said about, should the night go further they would indeed see how it all played out. Both seemed to dare with another neither finding it nerve-wracking to be flirtatious. A sharp chuckle left her lips seeing the wheels turn, having known this little white lie would light a fire under her to make the woman slightly more interested in making the evening more fun. ❝ Oh I really hope it is as well. ❞ Reaching for her cup, Saskia tilted her head just slightly. A sip taken finish the last of an already half empty mug. ❝ And that’s a turn off. If I wanted to go on a date and you’re late I’m leaving. That’s that. ❞ It was clear time management was important to Saskia, as a lawyer you had to be punctual and organized when it came to cases unlike what most tv had represented them as. ❝ You’ll just have to wait and see then. ❞ There’s another soft chuckle from her lips as she leans more into her chair as she got more comfortable contemplating the question. ❝ While America isn’t the best place to live, I needed a fresh start away from the drama back home so why not with my sister. Get to know my father’s side a bit more. ❞
Kiera ( @ryzhayadch )
☭ physical appearances was as close as Kiera got to being one in the same with her sister. their lives completely different. while kara had a past, a memory of a full life filled with pain, suffering and loss, Kiera didn’t share those memories only having been told of them yet in her short time since her ‘birth’ she had become her own person and paved her own path in a story that is much different to that of kara’s. despite few similarities if you were to have a conversation with both women it was fairly simple to tell whom had been who regardless of how identical they were.
to say matching with her sister-in-law’s own twin had been an odd coincidence would be lesser than how it made her feel to begin with. despite the fact that they had only both ‘matched’ with one another as they thought their respective sisters’ partner had been cheating on their sibling. with the growing number of messages between them heading into the hundreds it only felt natural that they would finally meet in person.
a head tilt followed by a raised brow and an amused look that held the answers to many questions filled her expression. curious was one of the many things that kiera felt when it come to interacting with Saskia. ❝ i hear that i still light up a room at night so you might still need those sunglasses. ❞ gesturing towards the discarded sunglasses on the table between them a cheeky grin curls at her lips. momentarily her attention is taken from the brunette as her coffee arrives thanking the barista and slipping them a tip her attention falling back to her ‘date’ just in time to glance upon the playful wink that had been batted in her direction. ❝ lunch and a coffee date, aren’t you a busy woman ❞ she toyed devilishly a chuckle escaping her at the irony of Saskia commenting on how early she had been while she herself had been even earlier. ❝ people make comments about being fashionably late, i see it as a waste of others time or incompetence… ❞ there was a seriousness in her tone of voice which quickly changed as her next series of words were shared. ❝ although i do hope coming early is not a trait you hold in everything that you do. ❞
💋💋💋 Oddly enough talking to Kiera in person was the exact same as it had been via messenger. Not like other’s she had met who behind the screen they spilled with confidence but in person it was like pulling teeth to get a decent conversation going. The conversation with Kiera flowed and though at the moment it had been mostly flirtatious it was real and neither where ‘trying’ it just came naturally. There was comfort in knowing someone could match her and not feel intimidated by it. That no real feelings had to be felt to just have fun. Something the dating world lacked, as soon as one person threw a few flirty words at another it was like instant feelings. Not Saskia De Merindol; no, it took a lot more than a few fancy words to catch her heart. If anyone even could.
Saskia wasn’t at all her identical twin, work wasn’t her life and looking for love wasn’t on her radar. The states got her away from the drama going on at her firm while also allowing for a fresh start. Even if the ‘match’ was simple to be a spy for her sibling to catch her significant other in the act. Matching seemed to be a good thing. They got another, understood the small jokes and flirtatious banter between each other without expecting anything more from it. That was the thing though, the expectation of not expecting anything from each other allowed her to reach the edge. Let her play a little more hoping to see how long the other reacted or pushed back.
There’s a chuckle that left her lips watching the woman’s expression change. There’s questions she has but had yet to speak them allow. There’s a small sense of enjoyment that Saskia starts to feel the more they banter between each other. This little coffee ‘date’ was by far better than the lunch one she was suppose to have with her sister. ❝ I’ll only need them if this date last longer then an hour, make it worth my while Kiera. ❞ There’s a tone in her voice that’s more sensual then at all playful. The cheeky grin of the woman just across from her made the lawyer all more interested in seeing just how the day was going to play out. Emerald hues rolled at the shake of her head at the comment of being particularly busy today. Which was far from the truth. Still considered ‘unemployeed’ while she looked for a firm she liked and having not a friend in the area. Being busy was not something she could consider herself at the moment. ❝ Oh yeah, extremely busy. In fact I have something after this ❞ A little white lie for fun. ❝ there’s a particularly wonderful woman I was talking to that has perked my interest so depending on how this go I may just have to clear my schedule for her. ❞ As if her schedule was completely full for the week when it was just looking to get to know the city she would now call her home. ❝ No? You’re not too found of being late. It is a complete waste of time. People have things to do if you can’t make it on the appointed time don’t even bother right? ❞ Saskia didn’t fall into the fashionably late crowd. No she much rather be seen as reliable by showing up when the time was agreed on. ❝ Wouldn’t you like to know. ❞ There is is, the flirting starting all over again after a brief moment of seriousness
Kiera ( @ryzhayadch )
☭ National City was a place that Kiera had been indifferent about choosing to live in. As freeing as the city had been compared to her cell room in the kasnian militaria compound. As many curiosities and opportunities that the city brings Kiera it is also filled with reminders of how naive she had been to bend to the likes of Alexander Luthor how she was so easily manipulated to his ways of thinking and how she without a second doubt allowed herself to be pit towards her ‘sister’ and a country that seemed far better than the one she had found herself. Despite all of her confusion Kara and Alex had persuaded her stay in National City at least for the time being.
an easy feeling washed over her as she approached the cafe as confident as she had been over the instant messenger of the dating app that they had matched on [ another bright idea of her sister as a way to put herself out there and find some friends ] she hadn’t for a second thought about the fact that she may match with a woman that in a weird coincidence be the twin sister of her sister-in-law. sharp blue hues quickly locate the raven haired woman [ it’s just coffee ] leather jacket draped over her arm. on her approach she managed to grab a barista politely ordering a drink and gesturing towards where Saskia had been sitting before finally crossing the patio to where the other had been waiting.
A small chuckle escaping past freshly pink painted lips as she heard the words of the other shaking her head loose blonde curls dance over her shoulders. ❝ I think that could just be the morning sun in your eyes. ❞ she teased already that little bit more at ease about this ‘date’ [ was it even a date? ] ❝ i could say the same for you ❞ placing her jacket down on the back of the seat before sitting down. ❝ have you been here long? ❞ gesturing towards how Saskia had already managed to arrive and get a drink despite Kiera herself being ten minutes early.
💋💋💋 Unlike the woman who shared her DNA, Saskia REALLY enjoyed sex. Most nights it was with one night stands and even recently repeated one night stands with those she was familiar with. A circle of hook ups that she yet to grow tired of. Her nights spent with someone different yet moving from one side of the world to another meant she’d have no one in the new country. A thought that didn’t sit to well with the lawyer thus she matched with a few locals to pre-occupy her time. What she hadn’t expected was to match with the estranged twin sister’s of hers wife. Or so she thought.
Several long conversations later she discovered that by chance her sister’s wife also had a sibling who shared the same DNA. So why not give the other a REAL chance. Even if it lead to no where, Saskia wasn’t the type of woman who settled down with one partner. Not even close. There’s a light chuckle leaving her lips. Already loving the vibe the blonde was giving off. Saskia would be lying if she said she didn’t like when someone was playful with her.
This was just coffee and yet already the energy was clearly very easily matched with Kiera than it had been with anyone on the app. ❝ Oh than I’ll have to look at you when the sun goes down to wont I?. ❞ She winked taking a small sip of her coffee before gently placing it back down on the table. ❝ Not long, I was on my way to lunch with someone but wasn’t worth my time currently. ❞ She shrugged her shoulders at the recall of her pervious lunch ‘date’ with her beloved sister. Not like the two couldn’t play ‘catch up’ later on. Now that she was closer they had what seemed like all the time in the world to talk about their past. In which Saskia wasn’t really to fond of anyway. ❝ You are early, excited? ❞
@ryzhayadch starter
💋💋💋 National City.
It couldn’t even compare to the beauty of Melbourne but the decision to move felt finally felt right. Saskia had no family other than Lena and the distance between them from the states to Australia was night and day, literally. Wanting to be close yet not wanting to give up the life she had kept Saskia teetering between the idea of moving or staying. If it weren’t Olivia and Melina who had encouraged the lawyer to take the leap she wouldn’t be sitting here. Making herself at home within the city. Finding places she would regular at and watching the way people moved in a city with a Superhero.
Day one in the city and Saskia already decided to blow of her twin for a lunch date with a particular blonde she had matched with on the dating app she had scrolled through the night she landed in the city. Choosing to sit on the patio of the small Cafe, Saskia took the cup of freshly brewed coffee between her fingers. Taking a small sip, emerald eyes looked up just slightly as the sun became blocked by a particular tall stature. A smile curled to her lips setting down the cup, a brow rose.
❝ Aren’t you a sit to see? ❞ She finally spoke, her smirk never left her lips as she gestured to the seat in front of you. ❝ Pictures don’t do you justice. ❞
