“—Last time? My sis drove the car through the cell’s wall, y’know..” A nonchalant shrug, that was a story on it’s own for sure. 

“Hmmn.” Not the slightest bit fazed by her answer nor her loud laughter, Amaimon hums with mild interest. “Right through the wall? Impressive. I bet they weren’t happy about that.” 

Still resting against her, he momentarily removes the lollipop from his mouth, held between his thumb and forefinger. “How come I’ve never met your sister?” He asks suddenly, wondering out loud more than anything. After a blink, he begins to move his weight off her, straightening himself. “Well, I guess you haven’t met my brothers, either.”

Here’s my favourite photos of my Amaimon cosplay! I debuted him at Anime North 2012 with Thornrose as Mephisto. I also wore him to Otakon 12, and Anime North 2013.

This was a lot of work due to the layers and various details/weird fabrics. Here’s a quick breakdown:

- The jacket and shorts are made from an incredibly smooth micro sand twill. The jacket has wire in the collar, tatters on the bottom edges, and a facing around the open front. The shorts have a functioning zipper, belt loops, and dozens of little yellow diamonds appliqued on. So time consuming!

-The tie is made from scratch with interfacing on the inside and stripes painted by hand (using tape and spouncers) on both sides. I learned how to tie a tie! :D The dress shirt is a custom printed silk cotton blend that I had made at the site Spoonflower. Expensive, but so worth the results. It has an interfaced collar and buttons. The vest is probably my favourite part of the whole cosplay. It just fits so well, and I put this adorable strap on the back. XD I wanted it to have a fancy shiny lining, but omitted it due to the warmth of all the layers. The last thing I needed was polyester. :P

-The hand/arm sleeves are made from a thick, stretchy fabric. I honestly don’t remember what it is. I saw it immediately at Fabricland and bought it without hesitation due to how perfect it was. I sewed rubber grip strips on the inside on them. The shoes are a custom cover made of vinyl over some really ugly old lady shoes. They zip up and have a pointed toe (made out of plastic and glue to the shoe). The crossbones and other things were sculpted out of Apoxie Sculpt and either sewn on or had embedded snaps.

-The nails were filed and painted black. Ears are from Aradani and I custom painted them with rubber mask grease paint. Two sets of fangs are the Subtles from Vamp Fangs. Contacts are Gothika’s Angelic Blue. I glued over half my eyebrows to make them appear small (and covered with makeup), and then recoloured them with paint and gel. The lollipops are real too!

-The wig is from ebay. I had to recolour the lighter greens with alcohol based markers, and then heavily styled it, trimming separating all the colours into separate spikes.
