This literally scares the crap out of me.

Why are so many people unsubbing? Are they a bunch of sensitive little shits or something? Christ.

I feel like I wanna cry, how have they lost nearly 4 million subscribers. It’s actually made me feel sick.

They lost more than a quarter of their subscribers (but less than a third). That’s a big chunk and it’s got to hurt.

It’s not a purge, because it’s not universal, it’s only happening to the GMM channel.

It’s not an age-restriction thing, which I thought it might have been.

It’s possible, but unlikely to be people naturally unsubscribing en masse, because there would be a lot more people that usual explaining why in YouTube comments of recent videos and on their social media, like Twitter. That kind of natural drop only happens after some outrage, and there doesn’t appear to have been any, or we’d surely know about it here in the fandom.

It may be a YouTube glitch. This seems to be the most likely reason, but why has it only apparently affected Good Mythical Morning, and not other big YouTubers, or even Rhett and Link’s other channels? Shear luck?

Could it have been some experimental new feature they were trying out that was buggy and backfired? Perhaps it is something they gave as a first option to some of the big creators? What could it be though?

When Rhett and Link find out the cause, will they share with us what happened?

If it is due to a glitch, is it reversible, or would fixing it have too many flow-on consequences that affect more than just GMM’s channel? If it is fixed, would that mean people who subscribed or unsubscribed during the period from the fix will find themselves unsubscribed or resubscribed? Can it be fixed without affecting brand new subscribers or people who have naturally unsubscribed?

So many questions.
