not to sound like a crazy sjw but parents putting little girls in frilly dresses/lavish clothes and telling them not to run, climb, play in dirt, etc lest they ruin their outfits or somebody look up their skirts is one of the most direct ways we as a society teach girls that they are only ornamental and cut their childhoods short
By the end of twentygayteen, I want all of these homophobic kweers to be kicked out of the LGBT community.
If a gay person tells you they’re only attracted to people of the same sex, and your first response is to angrily go “So you have an obsession with genitals? You’re a depraved pervert who only cares about genitals?” Then you’re… homophobic.
idk how anyone, especially a galaxy brained tumblr kweer, can earnestly type out the sentence “cis women are a bunch of whiny babies istg” and think this is a Fresh Woke Take and not just like the most commonly held opinion in human history and one of the many fundamental beliefs upon which systemic misogyny across the globe is based l m a o

7ish years ago I was at a thrift store in San Francisco and saw either a hat or a shirt with this on it and tbh after all these years I wish I could’ve bought it
What if I told you you can be androgynous without making it a gender?
Or You can be a feminine male without making it a gender?
Ooor that you can be a masculine female without making it a gender?
You can dress how you want without claiming you’re a different gender. You can enjoy things without trying to make it deeper than it actually is.
Eating pussy is the ultimate patriot act.
Part of being lgbt is unlearning toxic beliefs about ourselves, and about other lgbt people. It is something we have to consciously work towards. Realizing that we’re gay or bi doesn’t immediately undo those years of resentment that were conditioned into us, and just because we can’t oppress each other on the axis of sexuality doesn’t mean we aren’t still capable of maintaining hurtful beliefs about each other, which does actually impede our ability to heal.
holy shit lol

OKAY the phenomenon of “queer/sapphic” sex ed blogs telling teenagers they need to go to therapy to unlearn their sexual boundaries (”repulsion”) along with “how to’s” feels like some kind of spiritual kin to 2012 sex posi blogs telling girls and women who are asking for advice about their boyfriends pressuring them into painful anal sex “how to make it less painful!” instead of like, asserting that they don’t have to have sex they don’t want in the first place. Talk about moving goalposts – this isn’t even the right playing field! We can’t come close to being able to start talking about healthy desire because we can’t even establish allowance for healthy boundaries. We should be able to talk about the joy and love of sex and attraction, but we’re mired down in “sex ed” offering advice on how to teach yourself to get through it. I feel like I’ve made a few posts about different subjects that ends with the same thesis now, but here it is: sexuality is NOT just about what you could theoretically make yourself endure!

tfw straight atheists act like Christians are our shared enemy when science and psychology have been equally culpable in shaping the current state of homophobic discourse and justify our oppression in the western world
