i love naming the elephant in the room (porn) in conversation because you're not supposed to do that and people are shocked but then they always agree with me. "teen boys are a menace these days" -> it's because of porn. "that's not normal behaviour" -> it's porn addiction. "does that imagery make anyone else uncomfortable" -> it's inspired by porn. "the way women are characterized" -> it's porn mythology. like ladies we are allowed to stay this stuff out loud
“Sexuality is fluid” NO IT IS NOT. YOU ARE A TERRORIST
"Falcon River at the very first Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival in 1976." from an interview for the SLFA Herstory Project:
"To be outdoors and to take off my shirt in front of a couple of thousand other women who had also removed their shirts in defiance of men with guns and telescopes that were lined up on the road surrounding the MichFest Land, that for me was the first experience of being out and proud, and dancing and drumming, and just feeling ecstatic. My memory of it is more of a feeling than an actual “this happened, then that happened.” It’s the feeling of really touching into my own soul, my own women’s soul, and touching the souls of all the women around me expressing our ecstasy. It formed and shaped the rest of my life, and it still does."
“I wasn’t gender socialized because I was bullied for being gnc as a child” it’s almost as if that’s one of the most direct examples of gendered socialization
every time they say this i remember this vine.
“i am going undercover as a woman to find out what they go through everyday” [video cuts to later] “i discovered that women are called faggot a lot.”

This is so amazing!!!
i know this a repost and is going around but i just see this as a perfect example of the way queer/trans ideology is constantly filling up the cracks in the walls where female people can see the light shining through. i haven’t checked if op is male or female and it doesn’t really matter - male-serving rhetoric serves males, no matter who produced it.
a thought exercise i used sometimes when i was still actively arguing online with libfems was this: what if donald trump, tomorrow, came out as a trans woman? would you genuinely be able to say that male privilege had nothing to do with her social position? and every time i used it, the person i was arguing with didn’t really know what to say, and was obviously pretty troubled by it.
this piece of bullshit stops that moment of confusion and replaces it with a feedback loop intimately familiar to those of us who survived the conditioning of queer rhetoric. this is an absolutely brilliant piece of propaganda and makes total sense within the queer paradigm. if trans women were always women (with women’s brains/hearts/souls/whatever), if being a closeted trans woman who everyone sees and treats as a man is truly endless torture with no benefit, this is a logical assertion.
with this piece of propaganda (sorry, “hot take”), there truly would be no difference between a female person who lived as a man, risking discovery, rape, murder to access the conditional benefits as being seen as the man and/or enjoy dressing and presenting herself as she pleased and loving who she loved and donald trump coming out as a trans woman at 72 years old and president of the united states.
if you question that? if you want to think further into that? if you want to start drawing comparisons? if you want to start picking that apart? you are directly contributing to transmisogyny, the most powerful bigoted force in the world, which targets the most vulnerable, in pain people on earth who are dying by murder and suicide every single day because of it. as op said, that is the ONLY reason you would disagree.
so which is it? do you want trans women dead, or do you agree? so you better speak up now in favor (or make sure you keep your mouth shut), because all your friends are watching (and it’s not like you can escape the thought police inside your own head either) and you know happens if you step out of line.
This is asking only about paying another person in real life to do physical sex acts with you. This is not asking about buying porn/onlyfans/sex toys/etc.
Would you think less of someone if you found out that they paid for sex (actual physical acts)?
No
It depends on the specifics (who they hired, what sex acts, how many times, etc)
Yes

the notes of this post are almost all "no, as long the person was super niceys to the sex worker and it was all consensual and the sex worker got paid well and and and" and none of you people have a fucking clue about the reality of prostitution. sex buyers should be executed by firing squad.
nobody buys sex because they're interested in having a fully consensual, mutually pleasant experience with someone they view as an equal.
Does anyone has Sally Miller Gerhardt's original article from 1982? It was in an ecofeminism book, and I can't find it on the internet anymore, just people bismirching her words. I can't even find it in archive.org, where I originally read it...
But her essay was amazing, and she was correct.
"The Future - If There Is One - Is Female".
That's where I believe that slogan is from, although someone on Wikipedia claims it's from the 70s because Hillary Clinton said so??? I didn't read their source, but the catchphrase must've made the rounds after Sally's article imho.
1980 (?) essay by ecofeminist author Sally Miller Gearhart, included in 1982 collection.
Here you go!
not to be a killjoy, but I fucking hate this.

I find it so insidious how people see the obvious correlation between autism and gender non conformity and say it’s because autists are somehow biologically more transgender on average rather than realizing that gender as a whole is a oppressive construct that punishes those who aren’t good at fitting into social norms
