The global decline in media literacy starts to show in the way we interact with each other online and as an artist it's so difficult to see.

I remember when I started making fan comics for one piece fandoms three years ago I used to receive so many interesting asks and comments, people going to post full headcanons or scenes or fan stuff in my inbox, on anon, for free (you can find them on #asg hall of fame, I put it in the tags).

Now I only get either nothing at all, either very random asks that are also asked to all or my moots so not very personal, or things that can be answered by "read the comics".

Initially I thought that maybe because it's a repost the ppl just lose interest, but on Instagram, where the comic is gaining a lot of popularity lately and meet a lot of new readers, I have the exact same issue.

Here is a few exemple of what I'm talking about:

Anyway it's a silly vent, it's not that important, I just mourn the days when I received 3 paragraphs of headcanons about where the Kid pirates are from exactly in Scotland or scenes where people played with my OCs.
