Idk if someone already asked you this but have you thought about the team being apart of any sports? If so which paladin goes to what sport? Really like to know! ~💝 anon
- predictable, but I feel like Lance would be a runner: speed makes him feel free. there’s just something about feeling the air whipping around his face, the thrum of his thigh muscles working to keep his feet flying - the relief of the finish line, the endorphins coursing through his body as he lets himself sprawl all over a bench gasping lungfuls of fresh air. he’d be a sprinter, of course, both because of his build and because the most exciting thing about it is that it’s a handful of seconds of undiluted happiness and then it’s done. Lance would train restlessly, almost to exhaustion, to be the best - and he’d manage pretty well, too.
- Keith is a rage filled, powerful quick study. i feel like he’d do well with boxing or some kind of martial art. Boxing, though, is preferred, because Keith really wants to punch people. I’m so tempted to say he’d be a brawler (lacking finesse and footwork but making up for it with sheer force and determination) but i feel like that would be him only at the start. He learns, fast, and soon becomes a winning combination of a counter and boxer puncher: he’s slippery, unapproachable, really fast on his feet until he isn’t anymore, knocking you in the face with all the strength he can muster. Has a great uppercut punch.
- I feel like Pidge would be good on jumps and/or climbing? She’s very- you could say aerodynamic. Long jumps for her, because she’s also light on her feet and has pretty good running technique. On take off, she sprints or power sprints because she knows her physics. As for climbing, indoor climbing is always very fun to her. She’s not scared of heights: looking at things from up above gives her a feeling of belonging like nothing else does. She may be small, but isn’t everything, in retrospective? (That’s also why she likes space so much: it’s so vast you can’t help but feeling really tiny, inconsequential, and all your problems suddenly seem to shrink, too) ((There’s plenty of mountains to climb in Italy - she used to go with her family, and the view from up above the Alps is simply breathtaking))
- Hunk would love sailing! He has a queasy stomach when it comes to heights, but water definitely soothes him. Kayak, canoes, sailboat: name it, he’s done it. He also loves surfing. The undulating rhythm of the waves of the ocean, the quiet rush of a river, they calm him down like nothing else. It’s also exciting to ride and defeat the waves while the wind tries to push the saltwater inside your nostrils: it tastes awful, but the smell’s amazing. Algae tickling your feet from under when you’re swimming? Not so much. But on the board, the seabed is reasonably distant and beautiful. On a side note, Hunk is also very strong: he wouldn’t enjoy boxing, but what about hammer throwing? That sounds like fun.
- Shiro needs order, calm and collection. He might secretly be a hot mess, but he knows patience yields focus. The thought of him doing yoga tickles me in all the right ways, but please consider: archer Shiro. He uses a traditional bow, takes a deep breath before drawing the string with a practiced movement. His focus on the target is sharp, his gaze fiery, his muscles drawn tight. Exhaling, he lets the arrow shoot off, accompanying it with all his body: it hits the center. A smile slices his face in two, his furrowed brows unwind in an almost relieved expression. The sounds of arrows hitting the targets are the only disturbance to the quiet that surrounds him, and he can’t help but keep smiling as he nocks another arrow to the bowstring. He takes another deep breath, and prepares to release it again.
- Allura would be awesome and well versed in any sport, let’s not lie to ourselves. But horseback riding/horse racing would be so fun to her. If not that, I can see her ice skating. She’d skate to fast paced violins with powerful vocals and awe everyone with dazzling costumes and incredibly fluid step sequences. She’d have a wonderful, wonderful toe loop. The iconic backflip one foot landing?? Like drinking water. She would be the first to land a quad axel in competition. I’m swooning just thinking about it.
- bonus: Coran was the aforementioned brawler boxer when he was young. Now, he’d probably enjoy some really outrageous/risky thing like parachuting and bungee jumping
