Beelzebub insists on finishing his sandwich while he helps you fit the sheets onto the mattress. Any moment he needs both hands, he simply holds his food between his teeth, chewing down on part of it as to not lose a second. A tomato nearly falls off, but Beel catches it with a swipe of his large palm.
At first, it made you laugh to see him multitasking like this; it is not the first time that Beelzebub has prioritized eating over housework, in fact you saw him vacuuming while eating a pint of ice cream a few days ago – then he munched on a carrot while washing the dishes.
“Can you pass me the pillow cover?”
He turns around and grabs it with his free hand before throwing it in your direction. You cannot help but notice the way his tense as he flexes. Good thing that it is laundry day, because that gives you an excuse to prompt Beelzebub to wear a sleeveless shirt.
While shoving the pillow into its case, you watch Beel finish his burger while trying to pull the fitted edge over the mattress. He fusses with it, obviously needing the extra hand (although it was otherwise occupied) until Beel holds up the mattress on his knee. Finally, he pulls it over and smiles triumphantly, having won against the elastic. His muscles tense as he lowers it back into the frame, and you absorb every fluid motion Beelzebub makes until he stands up to his full height.
The pillow drops into its cover and you give it a few fluffs before dropping it onto the bed. Beelzebub pulls a second sandwich, this one with turkey, lettuce, mayo, and pickles, from his shorts pocket, and begins to eat it as he stuffs the duvet into the cover.
From the corner of his eye, Beelzebub can see you staring at him. He pauses, blanket trapped between his thighs, and holds out the sandwich. “Wanna taste?” Beel prompts, offering you his food.
