(OOC Below)
Hi! I’m zoogly! My main is @z00gly-w00gly. I don’t post ever but I repost a lot. It’s not very interesting to be honest. I am a minor so like don’t be weird or anything. I’ll type in blue if it’s ooc.
Homophobes, maga, transphobes, racists, people who support ICE, or anyone who is disrespectful DNI. I do not want you here.
I might not do any rp’s in dm’s or anything but it may happen depending on how i’m feeling about it if it comes up. I’ll post things in character or as in character as I can. I’ll include some headcanons of mine along with canon things when i post. Ofc i’ll do my best to stick to canon but i will interact with oc’s too do not worry! I love oc’s and adding them in.
My main headcanons: Whitaker grew up neglected and around a harsh family who never supported him in his decisions in life. When he moved to Pittsburgh he cut contact because his family said that if he was choosing this they weren’t going to help him in any way. Which is how he ended up homeless and in so much debt with no money because he had no income yet.
Religious truama. Mainly from his mom.
His dad was horrible and never treated him right. His dad was fine with his other brothers.
he is GAY (MLM).
Open to oc x Dennis and Hucklerobby but thats about it. I don’t like any other Dennis ships in the show.
He takes the sandwich, eating half quickly. He hadn’t realized how hungry he had been until now. He desperately wanted to eat the other half but he needed to save it.
“Thank you Mr Dennis!” He chirps as he crosses his legs, tugging a threadbare blanket over his lap
“Of course Peter” He smiled and ate his sandwich slowly.
“Be careful, I Don’t want you to choke” He recognized how Peter was eating. He could tell it’d probably been a bit since he’d eaten. Dennis made a mental note to try and bring something for Peter at least once a week.
He nods and rewraps the other half of the sandwich. He puts it into a cooler bag he bought a few weeks ago. It was good for keeping his food from going warm even just for a day.
“Sorry sir” he says once he swallows his last bite
“Nothing to be sorry for. And you definitely do not need to call me sir” He laughed softly.
Dennis saw himself in Peter. He used to only be allowwd to call his dad sir and he still had the habit of calling anyone older than him sir or ma’am. He hoped Peter didn’t call him sir for the same reason it was a habit for himself.
He nods quickly, “I really liked it, my aunt used to make me these type of sandwiches all the time”
Peter smiles brightly and stares at the man. He wasn’t sure why anyone older would want to actually spend time with him. Especially someone who works so much.
“Yeah? Whats your aunt like?” He smiled back as he continued to eat his sandwich. Maybe Peter would open up to him, maybe not. He was okay either way he just wanted Peter to feel safe with him.
“ she was the best. I lived with her and my uncle for a few years after my parents passed sway. She was a nurse” he explained, looking down as he wiped his eyes. He hadn’t talked about May in a while, “I-she was always there for me, no matter what”
“She sounds like a great woman.” Dennis smiled softly at Peter. Dennis noticed the past tense but didn’t want to mention it or ask what happened.
“You said she was a nurse, did she work here at PTMC?” Dennis tilted his head curiously. He much preferred listening to others talk than talking about himself or his life.
He thinks for a second, “I think for a bit? She was a NICU nurse. She loved babies” he giggles wetly, he remembered how often she’d come home and tell Peter all about the babies she helped
“Thats amazing. I had NICU in my mind for a while because i’ve always been good with helping kids. But then I did my ER rotation and loved that.” He smiled. He gently put a hand on Peters shoulder in what he hoped was a comforting way.
“Your aunt sounds like a wonderful person. What about your uncle ben? What did he do?”
He fought the urge to shake it off, to tell him that other people need help more than he does. Instead Peter leaned into the gentle touch and sighed. “The ER is crazy, I dunno how you guys do it”
“Ben was a electrician, but he did work in the military before that, that’s where him and May met actually”
"yeah, well she was training to be a medic, but she stayed mostly on base. Ben had an accident and he was brought back to the base hospital and they met there" He says, it was a sweet story, one he had memorized long before they passed
“Thats so nice.” Dennis smiled. “They both sound like great people to grow up around” Dennis wished he grew up with people like Peters aunt and uncle. His family was nothing like that
Dennis smiled back and nodded. “I’m glad.” He hoped he could be someone that Peter would trust to talk to. At his age Dennis could’ve used someone like that.
Dennis smiled and listened happily, adding onto theories or just opinions on things Peter said. This was so fun. Trinity said Star Wars was boring and she never wanted to watch it. He was excited to finally talk about something he was interested in with someone.
He got more animated as he spoke, flapping his hands out an rocking back and forth slightly. He hadn't even realized how he relaxed his muscles, how the tension he always held slipped away
He was happy to see Peter so relaxed and comfortable with him. He laughed and listened along with Peter. He was having so much fun, this was a good distraction from the day he had.
“Uhm. Well..” He scratched his neck and thought for a minute. “I’ve always liked helping people. The idea of being able to fix things was a nice thought and well.. I guess that led to me wanting to be a doctor to help people every day.”
“Oh yeah. The farm was great.” He smiled the best he could and nodded. “We had cows, horses, sheep, and a few dogs. We also grew corn like basically everyone else in Nebraska.” He laughed softly.
"Oh I want a horse so badly, I've only ever lived in the city so the closest I get to a farm is the corner market a few blocks away" He says with a small smile.
“I actually help out a friend on her farm on weekends and she has horses. Maybe you could come with me sometimes and you could meet one” He smiled at Peter.
“No you wouldn’t ruin anything or burden me at all. I promise. But you don’t have to come it’s completely up to you if you want to. I just do chores for her there and help with whatever I can.” Dennis didn’t want to pressure Peter into anything, he just wanted him to know he was welcome if he wanted to go.
He chews on his nail and thinks, "If I come can I help with the chores too?" He asks, it was a good way to balance it out. He knew his personality was a lot to handle sometimes so he wanted to give something back
“You want to help? Are you sure? It’s hard work” Dennis scratched his neck. He’d ben doing farm work since he was old enough to hold a shovel. He knew how difficult it was and it wasn’t particularly fun all the time.
Dennis smiled and nodded. “Alright then, You can help out all you want. Amy will be happy to have more helping hands. I’ll teach you some things that’ll be easy for you to do before you start driving tractors.” he laughed softly
"Wait there's a chance that I can drive a tractor?" He shrieks, not caring to make sure his volume was proper. The idea of driving a tractor was far too cool
Dennis laughed and nodded. “Sure, kid. If you want to drive one I could teach you. I’ve been driving them since I could reach the pedals” he was happy that Peter seemed so happy and genuinely interested. Peter was kind of the brother Dennis wanted to have growing up.
He rocks back and forth happily, the idea of riding a tractor was so appealing to him. He knew it was going to be a culture shock, having learned how to navigate public transit as soon before learning his multiplication tables.
“Of course, Peter. And just call me Dennis, you don’t have to be formal with me” He smiled. This honestly had fixed the horrible day he was having. Everything that happened was out of his head and now he just was thinking about how happy Peter looked and how much more comfortable he was.
"I know, I just wanna be polite!" he explains with a smile, he wasn't forced to or expected to but he really wanted to make a good impression on older people in his life. His aunt and uncle taught him respect very young
“Politeness is a good skill to have but I promise it’s okay to just call me Dennis” He smiled back at him.
“Do you want the other half of my sandwich? I’m not going to eat it right now and if I bring it to my apartment my roommate will eat it before I get a chance to” he laughed softly.
He considers it for a second before nodding shyly, "yes please" He mumbles as the tips of his ears turn bright red. He looks away, hoping that accepting this wouldn't cause him any bad karma, other people needed it more than he did
He takes the sandwich and holds it close, "yeah no I just-i don't normally accept hand outs like this" He says before looking up, "I'm sorry I don't mean it like that but I just-you just-its-sorry!"
Dennis smiled and sat back in his chair. He looked over to where a book was lying on the bed. It must’ve been the one he was reading when he first showed up.
“Um…mostly, there’s something’s that confuse me but this is kinda outdated so it could just be incorrect information” he explains as he flushes. He knew he was smart, but he never really pointed it out
“Wow. You’re basically a genius! Thats so cool.” Dennis smiled. He made a mental note to pick up a more recent book if he ever saw one somewhere. Peter shouldn’t be getting an outdated education.
“Can I sign off on it? Would that be allowed?” Dennis just wanted to help. Peter seeks like a bright kid who deserves a proper education. If he could sign off maybe he could get that.
“I think you have to be my legal guardian to do that? Maybe ask one of the social workers here?” He says, he was a bit confused as to why he’d want to help Peter
“Yeah maybe Kiara would know. I can ask her how it works” He nods. “I want you to get the education you deserve. You clearly like school and I think any kid who wants to go to school should be allowed to attend.”
He takes the sandwich, eating half quickly. He hadn’t realized how hungry he had been until now. He desperately wanted to eat the other half but he needed to save it.
“Thank you Mr Dennis!” He chirps as he crosses his legs, tugging a threadbare blanket over his lap
