Drone.Ion: Industry standard drone conversion surgery. (Warning: very medical!)

This is a basic overview of the industry standard dronification process, which serves to convert the subject into an easily customizable drone that can be used and modified for many different applications.
It is crucial that all cybernetic parts (CPU, heart augmentations, etc) are fully prepared and ready to be linked into the body before any surgery is done. Also, ensure the subject has been dosed with whatever sedative is being used before, so that the surgical unit and operator can know their tolerance and dose them appropriately. Units that were awake during surgery exhibit 57% more disobedient and asocial behavior after full conversion.
The procedure takes roughly 18-24 hours. Once the subject is fully sedated, submerged in the antibiotic gel, and locked into the operating unit, their limbs will be amputated and cauterized at the knee and elbow joints and fitted with electromagnetic pads, which can later be synched with a variety of useful modular limbs. The patient’s torso is opened up, and the digestive tract and reproductive organs are removed to make space for the battery. A “tail” is affixed to the tailbone and runs directly to the battery, and it can be used both as a charging cord and a makeshift leash. The heart is either augmented or outright replaced, and blood is siphoned and replaced with electrosynthesis fluid. The lungs are redundant and can be removed.
The head is a particular delicate area of the body, but it is not free from undergoing significant changes. All sensory organs (ears, nose, mouth, and eyes) are removed, and the face is cauterized and set with electromagnets and various other miscellany to ensure that the sensory input from the faceplate is transmitted to the cpu with minimal latency.
The most dangerous part of the procedure is brain alteration. Significant portions of the frontal lobe are carved away, as well as parts of the the hippocampus, and the nanotechnology-enhanced wetware CPU is placed in the hollow left behind. This ensures that the leucotomy lacks any negative externalities (as the cpu picks up the slack very efficiently), and gives the admin exact control of each drone’s memories and cognitive capabilities, ensuring that they are just as intelligent as needed to complete their assigned work: No more, no less.
The face is then fitted with a screen display, all open wounds are closed, and all exposed skin is fit with a durable, yet flexible metallic chassis. The nanolatex topcoat is optional but recommended, as it allows the admin to map, intensify, dull, and control sensory nerves, including erogenous zones. Orgasm is achievable, but should be only permitted as an extremely valuable reward for exceptional units.
Most units are ready to begin work within 48 hours of conversion, and if the procedure is done successfully, there will be no long term complications. However, some units experience errors stemming from phantom pain. If a unit is moving unusually slowly or jerkily, aerosolize pain medication and feed it into the body via the port on its throat. If “pained” behavior continues, remap pain to pleasure.
