Bornholm has lived up to its nickname “the sunshine island” all day ☀️ Their Majesties the King and Queen arrived on the island this morning on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, and in festive fashion, the Majesties began their summer tour with a carriage ride through Rønne town to Rønne Theater. Later, the Majesties viewed Bornholm handicrafts of ceramics, glass, textiles, wood and metal before heading to Ekkodalen to Hareløkkerne. After the regional municipality's official lunch in the open air, the King and Queen visited Østerlars Church, which is the largest and oldest of Bornholm's four round churches. The day ended with a visit to the Old Power Station, which today forms the setting for the “Energiø Bornholm” project, which focuses on wind energy and the green transition.

Every year around midsummer, students are graduating all over the country. Today it was His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's turn to experience the very special feeling of freedom that the student cap brings 🇩🇰 But it's not just students who rejoice. The Danish tradition also embraces family and friends, which could also be seen at Ordrup Gymnasium today.

I'm about to kick off a fantastic Royal Run day in Fredericia. I've been looking forward to it, and again this year the support from all sides is incredible 👏 With over 95,000 registrants, we have together set a record at this year's race.
