I’m so furious.

My friend got scammed while buying me a cute keychain on Mercari that seemed like good quality. Well… The product she received was AI-generated. I began digging online until I stumbled upon a seller on AliExpress that sold them — they had both the original image and the AI-generated one side by side.

I ran it through reverse image search and found the original design on Etsy.

I’m not sure if the original artist @snazzyrat is aware of the theft but please support them! They’re an amazing artist!

I am quite horrified right now. I have never had my stuff stolen like this and I don't even know how to navigate fixing it. I only sell through Etsy, so anywhere else that these are being sold is NOT me. I am so terribly sorry that your friend god scammed, I feel awful. Thank you for letting me know because what the actual fuck

I'm going to look into how to hopefully fix this, if anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated. I am so so heartbroken and angry right now that my hard work was stolen and now being resold as AI garbage.
