he’d only come here to grab a bite to eat, almost immediately regretting his decision the moment he saw just how busy it was inside. however, there wasn’t much choice in this area and if he was honest, he couldn’t be arsed going to find somewhere else that would have a half decent feed for how cheap he could get food here. it is instinctual for owen to look up when he heard the word torchwood thrown around, though on second thought, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea in a place like this. god only knows who or what was around him.
she looked half human at least when she sat down opposite him, owen looking her up and down with sharp eyes as he looked for anything out of the ordinary, anything that should or shouldn’t be there. “it’s alright. it’s not gonna be getting any michelin stars any time soon, but they’ll feed you… whoever the hell you are. care to tell?”

Stupid Torchwood, can’t keep their operation a secret, and they don’t remember the names of important people. “Bella, I work for Torchwood’s more... what’s the word,” tapping her fingers against her chin, she cocked her head to the side, her frown turning upside down to reveal a beaming smile. “oh, that’s it, more effective older sister.”
a beat later she added, “UNIT. I work for UNIT.”
