there's a lot of critic the mlp fandom does towards the franchise that boils down to older fans forgetting they're watching a TV show about a toy line.

my most prime example is princess celestia "why does she do nothing and only leave it to twilight" because it's a kids show. it's a show meant for 7 year old girls who want to watch their fav ponies save the day and Celestia is just a princess character they can admire and find pretty.

thats why. when have you ever watched a kids show where someone that isn't the main hero character save the world.
