This is absolutely the funniest spam email I've ever gotten.
How the Astronomer's Complex be rolling up on the average indebted citizen:
So uh the other day I was inspired by a combination of Element 118, low gravity and millipedes so uh.
Now we're here I guess.
I've been really inspired by this one artist, @/t34-mt to devote more time into speculative biology and play around with character design as well as another mutual I'm in touch with. I'm not sure what though. I thought my one idea of microorganisms making artificial bodies (or "shells") for themselves was a pretty neat concept, but also that species isn't the main focus of my trilogy, as much as I've grown to love the design freedom I have. I want a story to write with species not akin to humans as the main focus.

Normalize posting on the wrong blog smh.
Originally, I was just going to stick with Oul'Lavora as his actual name but after truly processing that he's a fricking alien billions of years older than the very first human (and every human language), I've come to change that. Now, Oul'Lavora is simply a romanization of his name that he created for both discrepancy towards his species of origin, and also because the way that race communicates is kind of impossible for any human to learn without some kind of biological modification, along with hundreds of years of exposure.
Still figuring out how this alien language could be written though, as blueprints for the intergalactic megastructure were designed so it would be a given to me that there are some form of written glyphs that they use to convey ideas and leave notes for administrators of construction.
Since my trilogy takes place in a different universe than Earth's I started to panic because names of different origins (mainly the names of celestial bodies of Roman origin, such as Mercury), but a really funny idea hit me
what if I just make Earth and the Milky Way some random guy's world-building project that became an intergalactic reference and integrated into pop culture? yeah. yeah that works i think
Personally really happy with my concepts of the Angels of Flesh and Steel (still don't have a proper name for their species).
Basically the idea is that they were originally incredibly intelligent microorganisms that built bodies for themselves by slowly collecting matter over time, meaning that every character of this species can have a unique, bio-mechanical design which allows me to be more flexible when drawing them and allows me to experiment more
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW ACCURATE THAT IDEA OF SCIENCE IS THOUGH. I only recently got interested in spec bio and despite my interest in science fiction I'm very new to those studies.
Definitely working on having better scientific explanations to everything though... Like how a megastructure encompassing a supercluster of dwarf galaxies (created by these "Angels of flesh and steel") is even possible. Don't question it. Just enjoy the spectacle TvT
does this happen to anyone else
I think rather than making this a main account where I post all my works I'd like to just make this my world-building account for Grand Victory...
Or honestly any other things I'm writing. While I can't explicitly share a ton due to not wanting to spoil anything I'd love to get into the routine of drawing and rambling about my OCs.
So, for the trilogy I'm working on (Grand Victory), after seven years of world-building I've decided to write in third-person limited- meaning you are still viewing the world like a spectator but are limited to the thoughts of a singular person (in this case, the protagonist, Seung Tae).
But there is so much more depth to the story that I've built up in my head. Lots of irony that can only be revealed or work if your perspective is moved to a different character, and their thoughts.
I will definitely stick to the perspective of just the main character (as he is obviously part of the most relevant events), but I'm just curious what everyone thinks about authors moving the perspective to another person of the main cast for a chapter.
And would it be cool to do a one-off short of a scene from the same story but from the perspective of a different main character (like the anti-villain / deuteragonist) as an alternative to that, so as not to confuse the reader and also clutter the story?
Tumblr artists making a whole ass blog for their OCs and actually posting something?
Couldn't be me...

A message from the Astronomer's Complex
Lights. Bright beams so powerful a man could go blind. Stringed instruments that ring throughout the entire facility, chilling your soul. The bustle of hundreds of thousands of people, all wearily lumbering about, throwing on their uniforms, latching their weapons to their side and keeping their helmets at ready under their right arm. Such an atmosphere is one that you wake up to every morning, and such is a routine you are not permitted to ever forget. Discard your past, and follow the hum of the screen.
