When I find Smut with my OTP:
Zutara vs. Kataang
Katara: does literally anything
Aang:
Even though I’ll support the live action I still think we were robbed for not being given an animated series with the older Gaang
when ur ma tries to sit u down for tea but u hear the avatar theme from the living room
Sometimes I think about the difference between season 1 and season 3 of avatar the last airbender. Like, in season 1 it was just Aang, Sokka, and Katara with the ocational Zuko for a laugh and a look at where he was. They were all just yeeting around and having a good time. They weren’t even worried about saving the world because then they had no time limit to mastering the elements and defeating the fire lord (that was before the middle of the season during the winter solstice where they learned about sozin’s comet.) We weren’t even all that worried about the fire nation asides from Zuko and maybe Zhao.
But then season 3 came around and everything from disability to abuse was set upon us. We had a twelve year old fighting a fourty year old in an all out battle. This twelve year old only had a year to learn how to fight this guy while this fourty year old had his entire life to master the element that he saw as the most powerful of them all. We had Zuko, who went through a whole switcheroo of sides, something that I didn’t see coming when I watched this as a child. And he dealt with the brunt of the abuse and the pain and the difficult decision making. Then we had Toph who was the strongest character in the whole show. And despite her blindness, everyone treated her as she was because they didn’t let anything define her but her character, half the time everyone even forgot that she was blind because they didn’t let that define her because she was what she was. Even Sokka and Katara went through character development, they were completely different at the end and didn’t let their beginnings define them more that how much they had grown past them. And Aang, many people may disagree with me on his character development, because there definitely was alot, so please hear me out. Aang had the same ideals in the beginning as he did in the end, while everyone elses changed, his was the same, but at the beginning his ideals lay in fun and enjoying life, while in the end they lay in protecting life and making hard choices to do so, and doing what was right for him and for the world.
The writers if this show really knew how to make a smooth transfer from goofy gaang to all out war, and that was absolutely incredible.
