â ÂżAnd why is that? â Victoria raised her brow bone. She was leaning up against the railing of a rickety walkway in Shanty Town, arms crossed, spine stiff. Displeased didnât even begin to cover it.
â ÂżBecause you have to play your next great escape? You do know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. â She might not have found out about it, but ChicharrĂłn had been SCREAMING about his van for two horas and well...who else could have âborrowed itâ. â Iâm not going to let you do it. Whatever it is.â
indomitablespirits said: âHey, come here. Itâs alright.â ((Hector @ baby Vic plzzz))
The little skeleton shuffled a little closer to her abuelito, glaring up at the board guard with her fiercest glare. Despite being so small, she managed to make the guard yelp a little and slink down lower into his uniform. They wouldnât let PapĂĄ HĂ©ctor cross the bridge. His photo wasnât on an ofrenda, so sheâd have to go alone. But she couldnât! She was a child! She needed an adult! She needed her abuelo!
â...Itâs not alright.â she sniffled, glaring harder at the guard and the Marigold Bridge that lay beyond. âYou HAVE to come with me. We have to see MamĂĄ y MamĂĄ Imelda. You have to meet mi hermana. You have to..â

The deepest of sighs that only Victoria Rivera can manage.

âHahâŠ!! You really ARE like your grandmotherâŠâ Wait what.
âYou like fireworks?â
She was going to regret this.
So much. Later
âUn poco. Where are we aiming them?â
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN STANDING THERE.
Long enough to be DISAPPOINTEDÂ
âAy, v-vaya, I wasnât being serious! Every once in a while I justâŠâŠ..aaaaahhhhhâŠâŠâ
Thoughts dry. Jaw stuck.

ÂĄTeto was a chico after her own heart! Before the boy could make a move, RosĂta squeaked with glee and wrapped her arms around him, squeezing him tight with far more strength than a skeleton should have been capable of.
â Iâll never be unhappy then! â she cried with glee, picking Teto off the ground and spinning him around.
((SORRY THIS IS A DAY LATE BUT HEY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! â€ïž))
[ O H. THANK YOU DARLING. I DONâT KNOW WHATâS UP WITH MY INBOX IâVE NEVER GOTTEN ANY NOTIFICATIONS BUT AAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE YOU ]

â â Right where she wanted them to be. While her nieta seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, she seized the opportunity to ask her significant other if she was free tonight. & to her surprise, there was an enthusiastic nod coming from the other. But of course, she had to ask her novia about it, needing her opinion to make sure it was fine by her. As much as she knew how she felt, she watched her become feeble with her own bitterness, melting away into a fatigued agreement. â Epa, Iâm glad both of you agree to it. â
A smile flashing at the pair, she steered her smirk specifically at Victoria. â Iâll have to leave for now, thenâdinner isnât going to make itself. â Not to mention she had to tell Rosita at least about this. Two fingers placed in the corners of her mouth, she blew into it, which summoned her majestic alebrije. Climbing onto her, she gave them one last look. â Iâll be expecting both of you, atâŠ.a ver, nos vemos en una hora.  â With that said, she flew off into the city lights, as though she wasnât here in the first place.
An hour had pastâ-& they were practically done with dinner. Now all they were waiting was the couple themselves. A part of her was aware of the slight chance that Victoria convinced them to bail, but she was more than certain that they would come.
The sound of the door opening was then heard, & all eyes focused intently at its directionâawaiting for their company to step into the light.
Celi was still smiling even as Imelda flew off on Pepita. â ÂżSee querida? It wasnât that awful. Sheâs actually pretty agradable all things considered. There wasnât any reason to be worried! â But as the fotĂłgrafa turned to give her novia another kiss, she finally noticed how the shoemaker looked like she was about to explode. Or scream. Or both. â Erm, Victoria are you-- â
â ÂżAm I Okay? Of course Iâm okay. My entire familĂa is going to meet you ALL at once and my abuelita is never going to let me live this down until the day of my final death. Iâm perfectly alright!â
Celi narrowed her eyes. âAre you being sarca--â
â SĂ!! Iâm being sarcastic!â Victoria snapped before groaning and placing her head in her heads, furiously rubbing her eye sockets. â This is going to be a nightmare. â
âBe positive,â Celi insisted, rubbing Victoriaâs shoulder blades gently.
âI am positive this is going to be a nightmare.â
The hour passed, and as promised the couple arrived for dinner. Victoria stepped through the door first, and glared at her familia. A silent warning. BE GOOD. âEveryone, this is mi novia, Araceli.â She opened the door fully, and allowed her lovely novia to finally be face to face with the infamous Rivera family.
â Hola,â Celi said brightly. âÂĄÂĄItâs lovely to meet--OOF!!â Any proper greeting was immediately cut off by a bone crushing hug by TĂa RosĂta full of giggles and other happy sounds.
âÂĄOH weâre so happy to meet you!â RosĂta cried, lifting Celi up and spinning her a bit before finally relenting and setting her down.
Victoria sighed. âCeli, thatâs my TĂa RosĂta.â She pointed at her father, nervously wringing his hat in his hands and her TĂos standing behind him with the biggest grins on their faces. âThat is mi PapĂĄ, and my TĂos Oscar and Felipe.â
Celi waved, a little shyly but with a bright smile. âAnd this is my MamĂĄ y mi abuelito, HĂ©ctor,â Victoria continued, gesturing to the pair standing in the doorway that lead to the kitchen with nearly matching eager expressions. Why did they all have to look so p l e a s e d?
Her glare then rested on a very smug looking Imelda. âYou already met my abeulita.â
@dequererteâ said:  â donât raise your voice at me! â || accepting
â â  â ¥I will raise my voice at you if I want to! Donât you dare talk to me like that! â A finger pointed at her, she was on her toes as she looked up at her nieta, not willing to back down for a second. She wasnât being honest with her again, & she had enough of beating around the bush. Therefore, she decided to confront her about it without holding backâthus leading to where they were now. â As long as youâre in this household, youâre not going to behave this way, especially when you know youâre in the wrong. ÂżEstĂĄ claro? â The entire family could more than likely hear this happening from the next room, & they knew better to not interfere if they wanted to live.
â ÂĄAbeulita, stop it!â Victoria hissed through gritted teeth. She glanced over towards the door to the kitchen, hearing awkward shuffles and the soft worried squeaking of TĂa RosĂta and her PapĂĄ. She didnât need to drag the whole family into this, it was almost like she was purposefully trying to embarrass her. Well, it wasnât going to work. She was allowed to have whatever misterios or hide anything she pleased.
Imelda might be the head of the familia, her grandmother, the woman she loved and respected more than anyone else; but she wasnât going to be talked to like this, by anyone. Not even her abuelita.
â ĂDios mio, I am an adult! I am not going to stand there and have you treat me like a CHILD. â Her voice was a horrid, harsh almost stage-whisper. Only giving the illusion of keeping her voice down. Her anger growing by the second.
Today is her bday ok goobbye
