Gotta Go West
Just for fun, I’ve been looking at skyline pictures of 7 or so different cities I’m thinking about moving to in the next 1 or 2 years and this is Denver’s.
What the fuck kind of fairy tale city is Denver? That shit doesn’t even look real. That can’t be a place. People can’t just look outside and see that in person everyday. That is bullshit dude.
Oh, and no nuclear reactors so it won’t matter as much when the sea level starts rising and the entire east coast is turned into a gigantic nuclear irritated wasteland when all the reactors go underwater or suffer hurricanes and other marine type storms. Which is absolutely going to happen. Like, not even maybe. This will 100% happen, we’re just not sure when, but it’ll definitely be before 2100.
The thing with nuclear reactors is there’s really not a good way to turn them off. And they need to be constantly cooled or they’ll just melt into the fucking core of the earth like Furishima is doing now. So if the power shuts down ever, at all, for any reason, a nuclear reactor will melt. So if power on the entire east coast shuts down because large portions of it are under water, all the nuclear reactors on the east coast will melt. Say, how many nuclear power plants are operational in the United States? Oh good, only 62, with most of them conveniently located on or near the east coast. 62 man made fucking stars that never burn out and ruin everything everywhere around them when we lose control. What the fuck are we doing?
So anyway, we’ve recently lost a pretty big chunk of the Antarctic - like 10% - and that is just unequivocally going raise sea level by about 15 feet (as well change climates around the world permanently because ice cold water will be filtering into the warm gulf stream). So since we know that that is going to happen in the coming years, we also know that the coasts are are going to get pushed back and we’ll have cities underwater, and since we know that several dozen nuclear reactors are east enough to be consumed by the changing sea level, we also guaranteed 100% know that they are all going to malfunction, meltdown, and fuck shit up for anyone around. It’s a fact. It’s going to happen (unless we shut them all down now, which, we won’t).
But Denver is very far away from oceans, and very far away from nuclear reactors. And it looks cool as shit! Ugh, that’s such a good sell Denver. Denver’s definitely a contender for my bid, did not fuck around at all when it came to trying to win my vote. You’re certainly not the sexiest Denver, but goddamn are you practical and I wouldn’t be ashamed to tell people that I regularly spend time inside you.
Denver is beautiful. I will say that. But people are always surprised that the mountains surrounding the metro area of Denver don't jet up out of nowhere like the pictures. People will get a hotel in Denver and not realize it takes 1.5 - 2 hours to get to a decent ski resort. They kind of start out as foothills and roll up to the ranges you see in the pictures eventually. When people think of the juxtaposition of urban living and massive mountain ranges, they think Denver. But Salt Lake City is actually much closer to what they imagine. 15-20 minutes you can be at all the major ski resorts and it has 5 national parks.
But Denver has legal weed. And isn't run exclusively by old white Republican Mormon men. So I get it.
What I'm saying, Mitch, is if you ever want to check out SLC for a weekend, I'll make sure you have good time.
...And the only nuclear reactor we have is on the University of Utah's campus but it can only generate 100 kilowatts and is used for instruction.

This looks like an incredibly heavy commercial for Silk.
That’s fucking Silk’s job. It’s fucking Silk’s job to get inside you and help you evolve beyond a mewling entitled man-baby. Fuck you. Silk.
(Fuck you.)
