Derrick was on the train, going home after a long day of studying. He didn’t mind Math or Physics classes, but that exact day was the worst of the week, consisting only on Japanese and human science classes. He had arrived from Germany only a few months before, so Japanese grammar and history were topics that were still extremely hard for him. It was clear on his face how tired he was, as the dark circles stood out from his fair skin. However, he wasn’t the only one at that state - besides one or other person that were smiling while looking at their phone screens, everyone at the packed carriage seemed like they could doze off at any moment, no matter if they were standing or not.

While he was listening to his favorite girl group’s songs just to kill time, he felt something hitting his shoulder. At first he thought it was the people who were far from the door and trying to leave the train that were shoving everyone on their way, but when he turned his gaze to complain he noticed that actually the person sitting by his side had fallen asleep on his shoulder. He froze for a moment, he didn’t want to bother them but the situation was way too uncomfortable to simply ignore it. He decided to move his shoulder up and down to see if at least the person moved away, but it didn’t work at all. That left him no other choice... “Hey, hey”, he said gently while tapping their head, the tone of his voice and the force of his taps increased each time to try to make them wake up.
