(Fiction) I was basically living and starving on the streets, sleeping under bridges and all that, not having succeeded finding any job here in this country after being let go during some 'reorganization' in the company for which i moved here.
Sitting on a park bench bored as most days, that guy approached me and after a brief 'how are you and why bla bla' he asked how far i'd be willing to go if it meant getting a job with room and board.
With 4 months on the streets and the cold season starting, 'anything' was the login reply blurting out of my mouth. He nodded, telling me he'd have a job, but he'd take me up on that very statement, to which i just said 'anything is better than being out here like that'.
He took me with him right then, had me sign my work contract and then showed me my job. It's a warehouse, i basically use that trolley all day long during my 12 hour shift, during that time there's also food/drinks in the two short breaks i have.
At the end of my shift though, that guy - my foreman - comes up to me with his daily 'Time to get you to your room' phrase.
He straps me gagged and hogtied on to my trolley, pulls it upright then and wheels me into this tiny storage closet that is part of the bathroom of the facility. He then, with a devilish grin on his face says the again always identical: 'Have a good night, see you in the morning for the next shift' - and then just closes and locks that closet door.
I can hear workers from the other 12 hour shift using the bathroom occasionally, but do not really know if any of them is aware of me stored here for the duration.
Every morning then, the foreman is back, wheels me out of the closet, releases me and we have the usual morning coffee bfeore i start the 12 hour shift again.
The warehouse is a 24/7 environment, so my work is the 12 hour day shift, 7 days a week, being 'retired' to 'my room' then the other 12 hours on those 7 days a week.
My foreman takes all of my minimum wages as 'provision' for having gotten me the job, justifying it by me not having any need for money or ability to spend anything anyway, and if i wasn't agreeing, he'd terminate my contract immediately.
So my choice is simple: hungry out on the streets, likely freezing myself sick soon also or fed and warm, rotating between 12 hours hard work and 12 hours tied storage. Neither of the two options pays me anything or will help me get on to self supporting feet, but for now, i prefer the fed and warm option, let's see what i think when next summer comes again...
This bro, you gave him so much pleasure underwater, he's dreaming of his next dive with you
Sniff it!

Mach weiter.
