Aum: The Gateway to Higher Consciousnesses
AUM or OM was the first impulse that arose from the silence of the universe.
Chanting AUM sequentially, helps in alignment of the Chakras with the spinal cord. The primordial sound from chanting AUM creates vibrations which awakens the dormant energy situated in our brains.
Further, if chanted focusing on Ajna Chakra results in activation of the pineal gland. The Ajna Chakra is the center of higher mental faculty and is closely interconnected to the solar plexus or Manipura Chakra (center of emotional will) and the crown chakra Sahasrara Chakra (center of universal love). The Ajna Chakra is the Master Chakra that controls all the other chakras. The Pineal gland is located beneath the cerebral cortex where the two hemispheres of the brain join.
The pineal is an important psychophysiological centre and is the source of clairvoyance and intuition. It is where the seated soul finds a gateway to higher consciousness and spiritual connection to higher energies and our oneness with all that is in this universe. Pineal is the place where the brain regulates consciousness and interprets the body’s sensory and motor functions. The awakening releases hormones like Melatonin (chemical in charge of our sleeping cycles) and Serotonin (happy chemicals incharge of our moods) which are needed for external and internal healing of the body.
There is a cosmos within our human body just like as it is in the universe. AUM is the energy of the cosmos that is pursued by the human mind. If a person chants AUM focusing on Ajna Chakra sequentially in a 21 times cycle, the transformation of human body will be felt in a couple of weeks.
