Design Crimes special: Thursday 21st June

As part of this years Cannt Festival 2012 (www.cannt.org) our lively panel show returns this month for a special edition supporting the Cannt Festival 2012. We invite 5 guest panelists to share 5 examples of Design Crimes. All skilfully shepherded by hosts Max Fraser (London Design Guide) and Steve Price (Plan-B Studio). We have a fantastic line-up of special panelists including: Angus Montgomery - Editor, Design Week Hugo Eccles - Hugo Eccles Studio Carolyn Burke - Sheppard Robson Architects Casey Evans - Creative Director Mike Reid - Albion, Design Director

Plus a special guest presentation.

Design Crimes - Cannt Festival 2012: Thursday 21st June (TBC)

Last years bespoke event at Poke London was so popular the guys and girls over at this years (bigger and better) Cannt Festival invited us back to do another Design Crime. Design Crimes - returns with 'Revival'

Our next session of strong opinions and forthright debate to take place on Wednesday 23rd May from 6pm at the Milliken Studio. The concept of the ‘Design Crimes’ debate was established last year for Milliken at Clerkenwell Design Week and has become synonymous as an antidote to all the ‘good’ design under scrutiny for the duration of the Festival.

We have hand-picked a diverse panel of experts from the world of design to select their own choices and comment on those put forward by other panel members and the audience:

Simon Gill (Exec Creative Director, LBi London) Camilla Grey (Strategist, Movingbrands) Steve Price (Plan-B Studio) Emma Booty (Conran)

The evening will consist of a tongue-in-cheek critique of those designs from the past that our panel believe should never have been revived and would have been better left where they belonged: in the past!

Last year Design Crimes nominated included DFS sofas, over complicated TV remotes with the Ugg Boot, which was voted the unanimous winner by the audience.
