Holden slapped a hand on to his face, peeking through his fingers at the woman. He had messed up big time.

“Unless you want a box of matches, go right ahead,” He said, clearing throat. “And, um, sorry about… this. Wrong window.”

Vera felt embarrassed for him and for herself. For wanting to take whatever that was in the box - that was - until the man outside her window mention that it was nothing special. “A box that big filled up with matches?” The blonde laughed, “I wonder who was meant to be on the receiving end of that.

“Um, sorry, did you not hear, like, the fifteen things I just listed that I still have to do? I can’t do anything without my coffee, plain and simple.”

He looked at the confused employees trying to fix the register and sighed angrily. “Fine. I’ll wait. But only because I know what it’s like working in customer service…they don’t need my crap.”

Finally, the cashier gotten the cash register fixed Vera repeated her order “Iced caramel macchiato”, she turned behind to the man who was impatiently waiting behind her and decided to order a cup for him as well. “Coffee, black?” she asked.

“Look, I have decorations to order, decorators to hire to put up said decorations, caterers to talk to, waiters to hire, DJs to send set lists to, floral center pieces to pick out, table settings to choose as well as the types of tables and chairs to go with the venue and theme that doesn’t annoy the stuffy politicians at town hall. I have posters to design and print and post around town, tickets to sell and a playlist to put together in case the DJ doesn’t show up!”

“So, sorry if I’m in a bad mood and I need my coffee, right now.”

“Take a breather because you clearly need one.” The blonde turned around to see the man with an agitated stressed look written all over his face. “There’s just something wrong with the cash register.” She moved from her position to show the man behind her that the cashier is working on the problem.

I’ll have you know, I’m regretting the fuck out of this right now but, uh, here are your flowers and… and I think I brought the wrong box.

A knock on the window is enough to distract Vera from her earlier task. She did not expected any company and wondered who was at the window instead from her front door. “I think you brought the flowers to the wrong house” she replied the man, not expecting any flowers “but i’ll accept the box since it’s the wrong one.”

Vera widen her eyes when she saw the man at the receiving end of the slap. “I’m guessing you slept with her and forgot to call her?”

Chip thought deeply about it, squinting in the process and spoke up. “Would you do that if someone forgot to call you?”

"Well..” The blonde thought before speaking; “I might depending on the situation but I haven't slapped a man in my life -yet."

“So, um, does anyone know where I would get a brand new Avengers Advent Calendar because Saturday night boredom might have led me to eat all of my son’s during the X Factor final and I kind of need to replace it before he’s home on Monday.”

"I don't even know what that is." The blonde looked at the lady with a blank face, she guessed that she was mentioning a snack then proceeded to suggest; "Perhaps the village store might have what you need?"

It was his first day in town. After dropping off his bags at the hotel, he made his way to the pub to get himself a pint and relax. As he was about to cross the street, some girl went up to him and slapped him right in the face. Chip watched the random girl walk away, confused, and noticed that someone just saw that. “I swear I don’t know what just happened.”

Vera widen her eyes when she saw the man at the receiving end of the slap. "I'm guessing you slept with her and forgot to call her?"

Giving the girl one of her famous hair flip, Vera stepped up on stage grabbing the mic that the girl was using previously. "Believe it or not I can sing missy."

Friends have their fights. Some don’t talk for days, weeks, months or even years. During this time they say things they don’t mean and lose trust by the second. For a while they hate each other. But before you know it, someone has the strength and dignity to apologize. Then before you know it, you pick up right where you left off and it’s not even weird. It feels good like a part of you is back.

“Pampering yourself is always a good plan.” Vera agreed with the read head. “Well i’ll make a move first.” Vera bid farewell to the lady wondering if she would see her in town again.

Bitsy thought about the question for a second as she started getting undressed. “Something sweet.” She shouted back through the door after a moment.

Looking at the menu for something sweet Vera went ahead to order two starters, two mains and two deserts for the both of them, before hanging up the phone the staff on the other end of the phone mentioned that he would take about 30 minutes for the dish to arrive. 

The blonde wanted to jump onto the hotel bed so badly but she resisted because of her damped clothes. She could hear the water pouring from the bathroom and the cold air blowing out from the air-con started to make the girl shiver. Vera took a packet of chips from the table and started munching on them while waiting for Elizabeth to step out of the shower.
