I started listening to the cree radio station because its the only one left in my range that doesnt play alberta separatist ads now and those make me see red like some sort of bull, which is not safe while im behind the wheel of a vehicle going 110
Why haven't they told me about the cree all-purpose radio station sooner. They play everything from the 50s to today. Half of their ads and one of their shows is in cree which I do not speak a lick of but thats fine, they play banger music. They give me local news updates that arent dripping with UCP cocksucking. They tell me about things that affect a demographic I otherwise hear very little about by virtue of being a white guy in alberta.
We are holding hands. We are learning about other cultures. We are listening to 60s rock and roll and then an elder will tell us stories about his youth. I am enamored. I am in love.
Lots of people in the notes have asked me to drop the radio station im talking about here. If youre in the Edmonton area the frequency is 89.3, and when we went on a trip recently we got pretty reliable signal all the way to Ponoka. If youre outside of it or international you can get the live broadcast at ravenradio.ca
They also have a retro hour at noon every day and do language lessons for allies

That's handbrake stopped a few people's brains more than once. You can sometimes hear the train fall clean off the one track to "Adopt whatever they think everyone else is using" safety net.
I feel a bit better every time I remember that corporate abuse of the technology at the current scale is unsustainable and temporary.

An ode to butterflies
Used my illustrated Butterflies of Manitoba artwork to create some mini prints with individual butterflies. They're inspired by specimen collecting, look great in a shadowbox frame AND no butterflies harmed! That's a win.
Have you seen any butterflies recently? Weather has been getting cooler here, but on warmer days I've seen a Red Admiral and even a type of Comma (though I didn't have the opportunity to identify it further, sad.)

I drew this in 2019 when I was struggling with the seasons changing, and wanted to remind myself about autumn's warmth and to represent my wishes for the coming autumn. This year, I'm so ready for the ber months! 🍁✨️ Do you have any fun plans for your fall bucket list?
This piece might be a little old by now, but I still have a soft spot for it. Warm coffee with (furry) friends amongst the colourful leaves, what could be better? 🥹💕🐿 Close-up under the cut!

I've tried to keep pretty quiet about my situation but my family is facing homelessness within the next two weeks. In order to keep shelter and food for us and our two cats, I'll be opening emergency commissions. (Thank you @designs-by-sloan for helping me with the slides)
Slots for full illustrations will be limited to only 4 openings currently as they take considerable time to complete.
All commissions (except skeb style) are eligible for up to 2 major changes with free mistake fixes.
