Like We We’re Nothing/Talent Show @ Sasuke
Suigetsu finally allowed Karin to slide off of his body once he felt like his point was put across. His mauve eyes glared between red and black before forcing Karin to glance back at him once the trio had past, “Hey, I’ll see you tonight right?” staring at her with a plea Karin couldn’t decipher. “Yes Sui, I already said.” making her voice softer for the moment. What was he saying to her? Why was he staring at her like that? The pressure around his fingertips connected with her chin was a lot shakier than normal.
Damn her over active senses.
Suigetsu’s eyes seemed to warm at this answer and she mentally sighed that it suffice. “Just checkin, butthead. Laters Carrot Top!” he grinned and kissed her again and chuckled at Tayuya flipping him off for the nickname. He dropped his skateboard down and rolled away towards where she assumed Jugo might had been surrounded by animals. Sometimes she wondered about that guy...
“So dipshit, are you really not going to tell Suigetsu about the Talent Show?” Tayuya tapped Karin’s butt with her foot gaining her attention. She fluttered her eyes behind her glasses and pushed them back along the bridge of her nose. “Um, no! This is already something I’m freaking out about. I do not need to explain to Sui why in my unright mind, I have to do this. There’s no going back on it either Tay, Haku’s already been sneaking around rigging up things..I’m a mess..” she finally huffed and plopped down next to her friend with a small grunt noise. Tayuya rolled her eyes and patted Karin on the head. “You’re too fucking dramatic ya know? Don’t be a pussy just fuckin get it over with. If you think its the right thing to do..your ideas haven’t been shit so far and we’ve been to hell and back.” punching Karin in the arm and grinning. The younger redhead glared at her and turned her head, watching the back of Sasuke’s arm tangled in Sakura’s. Her stomach turned a little and her conviction was growing weaker but Karin wasn’t one to get discouraged easily. Konan’s words still replayed in the back of her head
“I don’t have all of the answers, Karin. But if I know anything about Sasuke..something this unresolved is eating away at him..voluntarily or not. This might be the nudge he needs..”

“Why would anyone in their right mind let her cheer in front of more people?” Karin muttered to herself as she stood behind stage entertained by Ino’s performance. She knew that the school was strapped for talent but, fuck sakes. The redhead stood there with her hands clasped together in front of her as she waited for the cue. Haku had everything set up and with his connection, he was able to get them backstage and equip for the night. Ino was scheduled to be the final performance of the talent show, which was perfect for Karin. Everyone who needed to be up front would already be there, the hard part was done.
The redhead waited until the crowd was finished clapping for Ino before taking a breath and looking back at Haku for some last second reassurance. The small boy held a gently smile and offered a small nod gesturing towards the stage. This is it, I guess..” she said out loud sighing. All of the lying, the sneaking, the help from her friends, especially Konan and him. It all lead up to this one moment.
‘Don’t blow it’

“And That’s our show kids! Now for the portion of the show where we vote for our three winners! Remember folks, which ever performer gets the most votes wins the grand prize! We still have something for second and third place as well as everyone else who partici---What’s going on?” Iruka spoke into the mic as the lights started to flicker, the spot light had fallen on the stage and there was a cut off noise resembling a record. In the background there was a faint humming tune that had a hauntingly mesmerizing melody. Konan graciously appeared at the bottom of the stage, smiling gently at the confused teacher and waved him down to come off the stage. There was an impression of a smile foreign to the usually stoic educator. Once Iruka dazed off stage, the click of 4 inch heels silenced the room and Karin made her way from behind the curtain. The spot light shinned bright in her face but she was ready. Her deep red eyes searched the crowd desperately and frantically for a moment, all would be lost if he wasn’t there. After a moment, she spotted him, standing there with one arm captured by Sakura and the other laid to his side. But Sasuke was staring straight at her seemingly amused and expectant by her interruption. Karin sighed and smirked, ‘He was bored.’ she thought with her own humor. The redhead stepped closer to the mic and waited for Tayuya’s flute to start playing before she sang;

Bluer than velvet was the night...
Softer than satin was the light From the stars
She wore blue velvet Bluer than velvet were her eyes Warmer than May her tender sighs Love was ours
