What radical feminism did for me:

What liberal feminism did for me:

based on my experiences with 'friends' and so called activists, tutors and therapists

made me question my "gender" for YEARS as I didn't fit in the "female scheme"

therefore starting to use lots of makeup every fucking day (and sometimes night) and becoming super insecure about my body

was shamed for my SA as "he was dealing with his issues in his own way" [by grooming an assaulting a 15 year old]

made me consider to start sex work at 16-18 years to "embrace my sexuality"

when some man I knew asked me for paid sex and I refused, my friends judged me for declining the offer as this could be "empowering" for me

people told me to kms for not using the pan label as a bisexual

made me shrug off male violence, misogyny and toxic behavior as "trauma of toxic masculinity🥺🥺🥺"

Why does the BDSM community think they own cuddling after sex? I'm super vanilla, and every time I've ever had sex, my partner and I have cuddled each other afterwards. It's a normal thing. Cuddling your partner is healthy.

cuddling after sex is good and normal. they call normal human behavior "aftercare".

The difference is that normal people cuddle because they are just continuing the good bonding connecting times they just had during sex and BDSM subs need to do it to psychologically recover from the pseudo-abuse (or in many cases probably literal abuse) they just experienced.

I mean like cuddling also often precedes normal, healthy sex and I've cuddled during sex multiple times, nearly every time in fact.

The fact that it's pretty normal to cry even after good sex does not mean that you can't cry from sex being bad. That's a logical error. Please look into treating your trauma and don't deprive other people of terms and concepts that are helpful for them.

So I made this post complaining about modern minimalist aesthetics being ugly and some people were like “oh, maybe we’re just poor and can’t afford luxury!” But like first of all.

The issue with this argument is that minimalism is not even “cheap” in the financial sense (only visually) because it costs $$ to create the illusion of minimalism; which is actually patched together from overpriced yet low-quality products. After working alongside realtors and interior designers, you realize the modern wealthy population desires the minimalist aesthetic mainly because it is “in” and the zeitgeist of the time.

Take for example the homes of Jayne Mansfield and Jean Harlow from the early/mid 20th century:

The rich and even the middle class of the time period had their own personal taste and styles where if they had the financial capacities, they would choose elaborate furniture/ furnishings which visually popped and had character. It was visual eye candy and the proliferation of beauty and imaginative thinking.

Now take for example the sterile homes of the modern wealthy, the first two being Kim K’s bland yet extremely expensive LA mansion and the latter being Leonardo dicrap’s generically decorated plain dens which inspire 0 comfort:

These are celebrities richer than any imagination, and adjusted for inflation have way more wealth than any retro old Hollywood celeb could ever dream of. Yet their homes are devoid of any style or personality despite their immense fortune.

Minimalism signifies a kind of cultural nihilism and the death of an era where people weren’t NPCs. It’s depressing to think that even the ugliest milquetoast plain hell house in the west cost millions of $$ despite being hideous…
