I know we’ve established that Jade is the reserved rock of the group but I think we need to acknowledge how chaotic and unhinged she is in Wildwood.

The pure hatred on her face when they first meet Scorpia. Calling the Bone Reavers stupid to their faces while she’s literally at knife point!

The way she stole a guy’s knife and went straight for Scorpia’s throat like a surgical strike through the camp. No hesitation about killing this woman who looks remarkably like her! The absolute unhinged street fighting style!!! Like did Ballentine teach her to flight like that???

Flirting about truth plums and then dropping the line “WELL YOU”RE CERTAINLY THE EXPERT AT BREAKING MY HEART” on Kit before walking away!!! This being the first time Jade acknowledges any kind of romantic feelings out loud to Kit! Kit’s dramatic vibe changes with Jade in ep 1 are very unhinged but this is equally as unhinged of Jade!

And best of all dropping that’s she “HOPELESSLY, RIDICULOUSLY, DESPERATELY IN LOVE WITH YOU” followed by “IF I KISS YOU I MAY NEVER STOP” on Kit “I just want to be loved” Tanthalos. THIS is why Wildwood is my favorite episode!

Sometimes when something is cancelled, when people decide that it's not worth the investment, that the people who love it aren't enough, that it doesn't matter if we lose it, I can't help but feel stupid for loving it in the first place.

I loved this show. It came to me at a time when I desperately needed something kind and good. It seems silly to mourn it, but I'm sad and feel foolish for feeling sad.

I wanted this story to continue so very much.

In the grand scheme of things it does feel silly to be so sad about a story being cut short. But that exact shortness is the tragedy. We love them, they helped us in a myriad ways and to loose them too soon is painful. Of course I wanted more Tanthamore, and I will take every opportunity to stare at Erin Kellyman going forward, but the world and the story was so up my alley, played on all my childhood obsessions and sustained me through this difficult winter. Fandom will go on, these professionals will still work, and I look forward to supporting them, but right now? This hurts. Let’s be sad now. Let’s be sad together. Onward. Forward.

We talk a lot about Kit being touch starved, but have we ever stopped to consider how touch starved Jade must be? She grew up as an orphan for god knows how long before Ballantine took her on as his protege/ward, and while there's clearly a lot of love and affection between them, he doesn't strike me as the most physically affectionate guy.

So the only person who has probably touched Jade with any regularity is...

...Kit.

No wonder Jade fell desperately in love with her.

Kit and Jade headcannons because the Willow brain rot continues with a vengeance

We know Kit has a very high tolerance for alcohol (see her out drinking a dude twice her weight in episode 5) so I propose: lightweight jade. The girl sniffs a glass of red wine and gets woozy.

Jade is also a clingy drunk. Her balance goes out the window first and so she just ends up clinging to kit the whole night. She also gets very giggly and laughs at all of kits jokes. Thus Kit tries very hard to convince her to drink, unfortunately Jade says no 90% of the time.

Kit is a competitive drunk. She pulls pranks and insists on arm wrestling everyone in the tavern. It’s because of this that Jade hardly drinks. Someone needs to be there to untangle the various messes her princess causes.

Jade? Possessive as fuck. Any girl gets remotely flirty with kit and she will square up and find some excuse to pull kit away then aggressively make out with her in the nearest alcove

On a related note, Kit? Literally unable to be possessive because she has not a clue when someone is flirting with her or Jade. Completely oblivious. By the time she can get upset the person has been swiftly and brutally rejected by Jade.

Jade cannot sit still. She’s always fidgeting or bobbing her knees. Picking her hang nails is a particularly bad habit she has and whenever kit sees her doing it she takes her hand to stop her

Kit loves to play with jades hair. She’ll Twirl a strand around her finger and watch it bounce back.

Jade is always over prepared because kit is always under prepared. She packs an extra jacket, extra water, extra money ect.

Kit is always cold and jade is always warm
