Based on the elaborate, carefully tailored illusions he creates, I have decided that the wyrm is clearly bored and lacks stimulation. Giant monsterous worm dragons (commonly referred to as Wyrms) are complex and highly ambitious by nature and often don’t cope well in captivity, so if you’re going to keep them in enclosed spaces, like under the crust of the earth, you’re gonna need to make sure they are kept engaged and healthy, otherwise they may act out and display dangerous and aggressive behaviour, like wanting to destroy and/or enslave all life. Kit has a crown now, slim silver branches with delicate buds and sprouting leaves, new growth and new beginnings, like the predecessor to the leafy circlet Sorsha wears. Jade has always loved the symbolism of the Great Tree– solid, dependable, deep rooted. It had never seemed quite right for Kit, but something about the fork of the delicate silver twigs creating a soft asymmetry, the hint of a silver flower just bloomed in the cleft of a branch, the bravery and vulnerability of spring time trying so hard looks right on her now. Jade wants to honor that rightness.

I know we’ve established that Jade is the reserved rock of the group but I think we need to acknowledge how chaotic and unhinged she is in Wildwood.

The pure hatred on her face when they first meet Scorpia. Calling the Bone Reavers stupid to their faces while she’s literally at knife point!

The way she stole a guy’s knife and went straight for Scorpia’s throat like a surgical strike through the camp. No hesitation about killing this woman who looks remarkably like her! The absolute unhinged street fighting style!!! Like did Ballentine teach her to flight like that???

Flirting about truth plums and then dropping the line “WELL YOU”RE CERTAINLY THE EXPERT AT BREAKING MY HEART” on Kit before walking away!!! This being the first time Jade acknowledges any kind of romantic feelings out loud to Kit! Kit’s dramatic vibe changes with Jade in ep 1 are very unhinged but this is equally as unhinged of Jade!

And best of all dropping that’s she “HOPELESSLY, RIDICULOUSLY, DESPERATELY IN LOVE WITH YOU” followed by “IF I KISS YOU I MAY NEVER STOP” on Kit “I just want to be loved” Tanthalos. THIS is why Wildwood is my favorite episode!
