after some thought i've decided to leave the spn fandom. tbh it wasn't really a hard decision, and the show is dragging on way too long in my opinion, and i'm kind of done with the whole fandom here on tumblr. there's always some kind of nonsense going on and i'm....too tired lmao. i don't know if i'll be bothered to post on this blog anymore because i'm tired and i don't care but i might we'll see
Tagging and Hijacking Posts
This is a post showcasing the hypocrisy Antis have surrounding tagging and whether or not it is “justified” to “hijack” someone’s post as a result of their tagging choices.
Just so we are clear, here are some of the very outspoken, popular Antis’ opinions on tags and whether or not things are valid to be hijacked as a result:
So, according to them - as long as the appropriate tag is present (whether for the ship, or the anti-tag) then there is NO EXCUSE for looking at the post, REGARDLESS of what other tags are on the post, general tags, random tags, etc. If you DO see a post that you’ve blacklisted the tag for, it is YOUR responsibility to scroll past it and not start shit. Interesting.
Well, they have a hard time sticking to their own rules, apparently.
There are more examples of this under the cut. I should stipulate this is not all of the times I’ve ever seen Antis hijacking posts, it’s just the amount of receipts I’ve been able to accumulate which show both the original tags for the posts and the subsequent hijacking by the Antis.

i think i finally understand where ‘destiel shippers hate sam’ idea came from…
when i first heard this, i was, to say the least, shocked. at first i thought maybe there really were destiel shippers that hated sam. but it’s been 4 years now since i joined the fandom and i still haven’t met one.
still though, this idea didn’t die, bibros still scream it at the top of their lungs. and for a very long time i couldn’t understand where, how, when have these people seen a destiel shipper that hates sam??? now i finally understand.
bear with me, i’ll get to the point. when you start watching spn, the first thing you see is the brothers bond, they’re ready to die for each other etc. but maybe that’s not your cup of tea, and it’s okay, we all like different things. then castiel joins the show and you start liking the relationship between him and dean more. soon after you’re a destiel shipper. so, you’ve caught up with the show. what do you want to do? you want to see more of this relationship, so you start reading fics. you read them because of destiel and for destiel. your main focus is dean and cas. you don’t expect a destiel fic to be about sam. yes, he’s in most of them, and for me, personally, that’s a good bonus. but a destiel fic will never be about sam, so of course he’ll be sidelined. that’s like… basic logic.
but you know what? that’s the argument bibros use when they say ‘destiel shippers hate sam’. that the story, for once, is not about their fave. that their fave sometimes is not more than a supportive shipper. that their fave is not portrayed as how they would want. i’ve never thought that the idea of shipper!sam or shipper!jared would be offensive to anyone, but hey, turns out it is. for bibros, it means you belittle sam/jared.
i love sam winchester, but he’s not my favorite character. he’s an important part of supernatural, but he’s not why i watch the show. i do not read destiel fics for the brothers’ relationship or for sam. all of these things do not mean that i hate him or in any way belittle him. your fave is not everybody’s fave. deal with it.
but of course, i’m not ruling out the fact that there might be destiel shippers that send hate to jared or want sam killed etc. never seen one, but hey, anything’s possible, right?
