So.. I was drawing Jax and kept thinking about how he (almost) never opens his mouth.

And it reminded me of someone else who can talk parfect in that kind of smiling/clenched teeth expression, ventriloquists. (Specifically, I was thinking about Darcy Lynne)

So my current theory for Human World Jax is that he was a ventriloquist and his current appearance is somehow similar to the doll he controlled. I only considered this because of the way Jax acts, like, he doesn't like to be controlled: ordering the others characters around and doing things in secret like hiding/collecting keys. So to be in the body of something he controlled would really mess up with Jax's fear of being controlled.
