“Your companion disagrees.” Mikoto would have assumed daughter, but they looked nothing alike, raising terrible questions in her mind that could wait for now. As he flashed his fangs, she did little more than raise and eyebrow before sheathing her tanto before revealing her empty palms. Most wouldn’t trust her due to her rank, but she could at least try. 

“You’re bleeding, badly judging from the look of your clothing.” Something wasn’t right, she realized distantly. The blood, how it had stained his clothes, it seemed off. With his shoulder wounded, she understood the blood there, but staining his sleeves was another thing. Shaking it off for now she stood, slowly walking closer. “Look, I can’t take care of your…apprentice, so if you die she’s on her own. This is Iwa territory. Now I can help you, and you can keep her safe…or refuse and possibly die.”

In her heart, she knew she wouldn’t leave the young girl. Too sweet, too much potential to simply abandon to a life of pain and death, but it would be better for them all if he let down his pride. “I’m not a medic nin, but I can probably patch your wound at least.”

The mention of Rin seemed to calm Sesshomaru down, if only a little bit, his eyes having gone back golden as he glanced over to e girl clinging to the woman, crying, begging her to help. He couldn’t leave her, just as she couldn’t leave him.

Finally sighing, Sesshomaru slumped back into the three. “You’re wasting your time.” He murmured. “I’m already healing. If you just leave me be, I should be fine. “ At the loud cry of ‘Lord Sesshomaru!’ He held up his hand, gaze going back to Rin.

 “I’m fine”

Sesshomaru simply watched her, his gaze uninterested as she spoke. inally, he turned his gaze from her, looking briefly over her shoulder--Making sure she was alone, knowing his brother was probably close by-- before he looked back, a brow raising as he did.  “If it was accidental.” He began, shifting his weight. “...Then why are you still speaking to me?”

Sesshomaru didn’t react much to the paper being flicked in his face, no more than a small curl of his lip. However he did reach for Tenseiga, resting a clawed hand on the hilt of it.
