So much shit has happened, I genuinely cannot process it. First of all, I was not prepared in anyway, shape, or form to start fucking SOBBING during Ryoshu and Araya's final conversation. I guess it was "crying in mommy issues" to its finest since I've always had a turbulent relationship with my own mother as a daughter. Even more so with the 3rd anniversary of my older sister's death from, in the bitterest of irony, a house fire 3 years ago approaching causing emotions to be high. I've seen plenty of people not connect much with the Canto, but I've seen people come out like me in appreciating it for taking the time to look at that bittersweet abusive relationship between mother and daughter that is the result of a line of generational trauma. Even if it did cost her everything that drove her to change, knowing that Ryoshu was ultimately able to finally end the cycle of abuse is very heartwrenching.

I can't understand how people don't like post Canto 7 Don Quixote. She is still the biggest dweeb, it just gets funnier when you think of cool, badass Sancho genuinely begging for Color Fixer merch.
Guys, why did we save the cutscene budget for this Canto?
As a day one, season 1 Sinclair fan, you can understand how badly this entire module fffffffffFUCKED me up.
Hey, guess who my second favorite Sinner is? Gregor, we HAVE to kill your mother next Canto.
When I said violently sob, I mean I needed to take an hour break to gather myself together to finish the Canto.
This Canto definitely had some pacing issues. Personally, I feel like part 1 and 2 should have been an Intervallo. Part three was ab absolute adrenaline rush, but it could have benefited from more padding to process the sheer amount of information. You can't just drop, "Oh hey, Sinclair in the future is gonna be a color fixer, Smoke War 2 soldier. Oh by the way, there's gonna be a second Smoke War. Oh yeah, Gregor is a nuke in cockroach coating that can, and will, get worse. Oh and, Ryoshu is a sentient concept incinerator." And not give us some moments of the cast processing this information. We don't even know if Sinclair remembers or was even aware of everything that happened as his future self (although the ending cg has him touching his forehead so probably?) Or what is going on with Gregor. It'd be easy to argue that what happened with Sinclair and Gregor could have waited till Canto 10 since we're going to N Corp which has the strongest ties to them, but keep in mind, we are now going into a return of Rodion, Yi Sang, Ishmael, Heathcliff, and Hong Lu's arcs too with the offical confrontation with team N Corp (yeah I know they have an actual team name, but I can't be fucked to look it up right now.)
None the less, this game continues to have my ass in a chokehold. Now to eagerly await the road map to see what's gonna "gently" ease us into Merusault's canto.
Okay but real talk, I've been a Sinclair glazer since DAY 1. Do you know how fucking good that entire fight felt like? The sheer utter adrenaline rush of that fight is almost on the same level as the original Vergil fight in Canto 6. Not to mention, SECOND SMOKE WAR????
Suddenly this whole thing makes plenty of sense. This theory has been around since the original trailer drop so its crazy to find out it might be another Smoke WAR. I haven't finished the Canto yet I just needed to come scream about my boy suddenly hitting puberty like a bus since my roomate is behind.
EDIT: I JUST REALIZED, DROPPING THE SECOND SMOKE WAR REVEAL AFTER GREGOR'S TRAUMA GETTING TRIGGERED IS FUCKED PROJECT MOON

Having the boughs stolen is such a gut punch. With the new Don Quixote Id, its obvious the next part is gonna be brutal, especially once we get more info on her daughter (which, the whole going vy Ryoshu because thats how her daughter reads Yoshihide is already fucking me up.) Can't wait to see how Project Moon fucks me up yet again.
